What if Sly had inherited Daisy's golden fur?
Carmelita lifted her torch, a figure caught in its beam.
A blond raccoon froze in place, his fur glowing softly in the torchlight. He shot a look over his shoulder toward her, his eyes wide and a striking amber colour behind a dark domino mask.
Then he smiled, “uh... hi.”
“Hi?” Carmelita echoed, staring. This raccoon did not look like her typical idea of a thief, his golden fur and eyes lent an almost angelic appearance... he was beautiful. She shook her head, this was clearly a criminal the mask and long hook headed cane he carried were evidence of that. “I mean... Stop thief!”
“Thief?” His ears drooped. “I haven’t stolen anything.” He spread his gloved hands.
“Then what are you doing here?”
“I’m... uh.. on a late night architecture tour?” He hazarded.
Carmelita’s gaze narrowed. “Uh huh.”
He was still smiling at her, “yeah and I’m late for my next stop. It was nice meeting you.” He said, disappearing out the window.
Carmelita ran to the window, watching his slim gold shape retreat across the rooftops, gleaming under the moonlight. “Get back here.” Carmelita yelled. “Stop thief.”
His only answer was laughter echoing back to her, as warm and golden as his fur.
