A bit of a ramble because I just think it’s pretty cool and silly hahaha.
Before Spinel became a part of the fandom, in 2017 I thought of a gem character that would have a heart-shaped cut and would need Steven’s help. It was all for fun because I didn’t think a heart-shaped cut gem would ever be in the show and the story I came up with was more of its own thing with a different feel to it. In short, it was that gems with heart-shaped cuts were living away from homeworld and got wiped out except one that lives in the ruins of what used to be her lovely home/colony.

I wasn’t that good of a drawer at that time and couldn’t draw what I really thought, but this is what it was at the time.
I bring this up now cause I didn’t want to sound like as if my idea was stolen since I don’t care, and because just now I’ve seen Spinel’s original design and...
she..
..she looks beautiful!
And if anything else, these drawings are what I’d want for the most part of what my heart-shaped cut gem to look like!!
