sakura is truly a pathetic character till the very end đ
in the japanese, she calls sasuke âdanna-samaâ ćŚéŁć§ (âlord husbandâ), which is an extremely old-fashioned, overly respectful and submissive way of referring to your husband and she also uses âanataâ ă˘ăăż (it means âyouâ and between spouses âdarling/dearâ) in front of sarada. shes clearly putting on this exaggerated image of the perfect loving wife to keep up appearances and make sarada feel less miserable about their family situation.
but when shes alone without sasuke and sarada, she refers to sasuke as âottoâ 复 the most neutral/formal word for âhusbandâ and it doesnt inherently communicate affection, intimacy or emotional closeness its just husband.
the contrast is literally right there in the japanese: in front of sarada shes performing this hyper-romantic, overly devoted wife persona while privately she drops all of that and uses the most ordinary term.
and sasuke is funny too because he calls sakura âtsumaâ 匝 literally âwife,â which is also a neutral, straightforward way of referring to your wife. he only does it in front of sarada maybe to play along with the image of a family for her sake.
and sasusaku fans are hilariously funny and dumb theyre literally rewriting the entire meaning of 匝 (tsuma) to make it sound romantic and profound when it literally just means âwife.â its the ordinary lexical term for a married man referring to his wife. it doesnt mean devote/beloved wife, pillar of the household, emotional foundation of the family or any of the other things they keep attaching to it. since most people arent going to understand japanese or fact check what theyre saying they can just make up these elaborate definitions and present them as linguistic facts like they always do lol
so while sakura is out here doing the absolute most with the danna-sama + anata performance, sasuke is literally doing the bare minimum necessary to make sarada happy. the japanese wording makes the whole thing even more obvious because the exaggerated language is coming almost entirely from sakuraâs side and sasuke reallyâŚ.. dgaf!
at the end sasuke briefly hugs sarada because he realizes shes just a kid caught in the middle of this mess and tries to make her feel better. and sakura immediately takes advantage of both sasuke and saradaâs vulnerability. instead of letting the moment be about sarada she uses it as an opportunity to make a move on sasuke and asks him for a kiss in front of the kid đ like shes leveraging his guilt for sarada to pressure him into performing affection for her. and sasuke is genuinely baffled by her audacity and ignores herâŚâŚ genuinely how can anyone like this ship and this is without even getting into kishimotoâs interviews. just looking at the actual writing the way theyre portrayed is so deliberate.
as much as I love this group, Iâve come to realize that I donât think Iâm up for meeting the demands of TOA as it now stands while balancing it with the rest of my hobbies and obligations without feeling dissatisfied with my ability to engage with either one or the others. for now, Iâd like to drop all of my muses rather than struggle through the process of trying not to feel outpaced by the group at large. if I missed any of my partners in my attempts to reach out and make sure things were squared away for them wrt plans and ongoing threads, I sincerely apologize. it's been a delight to write with all of you. thanks for the many years of adventures, creativity, and fun

Its funny how its not only SS stans who use purposefully wrong translations to proof something that isn't there but also these sns retards
Real translation:

The âgossipâ tone makes it sound like Sasukeâs main contacts in Konoha are strained or unwanted, which only reinforces that distance from both Naruto and Sakura. It almost highlights that his real connections lie elsewhere.
It is kind of funny, because it unintentionally comes off as a critique of both Naruto and Sakura. Sasuke avoids Sakura completely, and at the same time heâs shown as having tense, almost fight-ready encounters with Naruto â it paints a picture of him not really wanting anything to do with either of them.
I wonder where and with whom else he is in contact... I guess I already know.
If we look at it, the wording plus the context from Chapter 699 and Gaiden makes it feel that way.
â With Sakura â He doesnât visit her, doesnât send letters, and even in Gaiden he only meets her indirectly through Sarada. The fact that the text here doesnât mention her at all speaks volumes.
â With Naruto â He does meet him, but the description frames it as tense, with an undercurrent of conflict (âon the verge of clashingâ).
So the image it paints is: Sasukeâs closest Konoha relationships are either avoided (Sakura) or strained (Naruto). And yeah⌠that definitely gives off the âhe doesnât want to deal with themâ vibe.
Naruto nor Sakura were Sasuke's friends.

i dont think ive ever shared my favorite hanawa scene here but this is like. the single most character defining hanawa moment to me. why are you going âď¸đ¤ with a gun pointed to your head
I AM SICK OF PEOPLE WHO STATE NARUTO AND SAKURA ARE SUPER FRIENDS. NO THEY ARE NOT! When i ve read Naruto gaiden it seemed that she does'nt talk with anyone and i was not wrong at all!
Hi, me too. I made a post about team 7 dynamic and I stated that everyone's relationship on this team was fake expect Kakashi's but Sakura was the worst. She used everyone around her to get what she wanted and when she got it she pulled a symbolic middle finger to the people that helped her. She sometimes talks with Ino but even with her she does not trust her fully. When it comes to Naruto it is just terrible and sad. Throughout the Gaiden they barley even talked. When Shin was attacking Naruto, Sasuke and Sarada, Sakura was only concerned about Sasuke and her daughter. Naruto had to say sth about his condition for her to even ask him if he was okay. This is not what a medical ninja does. The anime saved her sorry ass by adding dialogue "my dearest friend" so ss stans can shut their mouths when they talk about anime making Sakura worse. It is the opossite, anime improves her character. I also want to mention that she does not talk to Kakashi, her teacher who saved and protected her so many times, even pushed her feelings on Sasuke. I know there will be people who will say 'but Sasuke also does not talk to anyone' but Sasuke is not fake and from the beginning it was shown that he only accepts and talks to Naruto. It is better to be real than to fake your whole relationship with everyone around.
