This could probably stand to be longer or more personable, but I just don't really have it in me right now. I've loved the interactions I've had over the years here, and maybe the future will see me coming back at some point, but I just don't have the energy or stress levels to devote the attention required right now.

it's hard to find the words for this message. i've typed it, deleted it, and tweaked it again and again. toa has been a second home to me for almost five years. y'all have seen me graduate community college, get out of homelessness, have top surgery (and lorepost from the surgery bed!), and grow into the person i am today.Â
i wish i could say i'm leaving toa only because my health and irl issues have overwhelmed me, but i want to be open and honest. the new activity rules have made toa feel like a job to me, not a hobby, and i'm not the only one.Â
with all this said, i will be dropping forsyth and leaving toa altogether. this is one of the hardest decisions i've had to make in recent memory, and i want to reiterate i still love toa very much. i've poured my heart and soul into this group, and i will cherish the friends and memories i've made here. i wish you all the best, and i hope one day toa will be a place i can call home again.

alm’s characterization peaked in awakening. he really felt like a true foil to celica and someone who had to unpack the ideals instilled in him by living in rigel. in echoes all his edges got sanded off and he turned into a gary stu that’s always correct and can do no wrong

i hate alm because he killed duma. like, yes, duma made some mistakes. his ideals were taken a bit too far sometimes. but he had good intentions and most of his thousands of years of rule was fine. it's not his fault degeneration is a thing. he deserved at least another thousand years of ruling humans.
