#fur pattern

Sandy got ranch dressing on her head and it dried SUPER hard so we had to shave a bit and she's the type of cat that grows fur back a different color; so it looks like she got shot in the head.

Mom and I call it her 'button' lmao.

Her Mom was a solid black cat and her dad was a siamese.

Did you know that many animals share their skin colour with the colour of their fur? And their skin is not all the same colour. The pattern is there.

Mostly notable with cats:

Black with white.

The same thing applies to hedgehogs:

(Is a good thing Sonic, Amy and Shadow look more like cats than hedgehog...)

Lighter fur = Lighter skin.

Black fur hide a dark grey skin. White fur hides an extremely light skin. The animal isn't 'pink' like white humans. Is a warm literal white. Pink skinned shaved/bald cats are red or cream cats.

It applies to dogs too.

So, imagining shaved Sonic and Shadow, the darker part keep the colour. Shadow's red stripes would be still there, so the white spot, that is a cat feature.

I had a late night random sketch session after work and created 2 sketches.  One was these which were intended for a Character instagram. Jag’s since grown impatient of my ability to keep up with her thoughts (and draw full color images for posts); thus creating a twitter.  However, she is deffo NSFW on her twitter as she isn’t big on censoring herself for others ears or eyes.
