Spontaneously decided to save two WindClan apprentices and add them to SkyClan. Meet Webclaw and Runningear, Webfoot and Runningbrook renamings. When WindClan was scattered by ShadowClan, Tornear fled with both his own apprentice Runningpaw and his brother's apprentice Webpaw upriver. He later drowned in a flood, leaving the two young apprentices to fend for themselves. Four years later, they live near the SkyClan gorge, raising a single kitten named Wind. She was a bit of an accident, but she´s loved.

Both of them have been named in memory of their mentors.

Onestar is a long-furred cinnamon braided tabby tom with low white and orange eyes. (orange eyes instead of green)

Smoke is a blue molly with fluffy, soft, long fur, and big, green eyes.

Darktail is a big, muscular, glossy, long-furred black tom with low white, vivid, blue eyes, huge paws, and a long tail.

Thanks to a suggestion from @sootfurlover, I've created a google sheet with all the cats I've worked on so far. You can access it here!

Currently, the sheet has 460 cats. Cats without descriptions mean they're on the family tree, I just haven't gotten to them yet. Once I complete all 460 cats, then I'll go back to the wiki, and start working my way down alphabetically.

"Mom" is cinnamon (b1/b1) and dad is Orange (O/Y), they have black-based male kittens (both o/Y), but I was wondering, since dad is orange, are they automatically all cinnamon like mom? Can black-based colors be carried...? Does orange equal black? Please help me!

Okay, so what might be confusing here: B and o are two alleles that are both called black but belong to two separate genes. Gene B has the black (B), chocolate (b) and cinnamon (b¹) alleles. Gene O has the orange (O) and the black (o). In the second sense, chocolate and cinnamon are black too.

Every cat has a genotype on both genes, including phenotypically reds.

The O allele is epistatic over the B gene - this means black-orange (B_ OO/O-), chocolate-orange (b_ OO/O-) and cinnamon-orange (b¹b¹ OO/O-) all look the same. The term you're looking for for the not expressed but genetically present black-based color is "masked". (Carry is for dominant-recessive, mask is for epistasis.) A bb O- cat for example is red masking chocolate.

So the point is: your dad cat can have any possible genotype on the B locus, and since the kittens always get a cinnamon from their mother, they will readily reveal it. For example if he's Bb O-, the kittens will Bb¹ o- and bb¹ o-, aka blacks and chocolates.
