(Note: inspired by this AmazingPhil video, “PREDICTING DAN'S FUTURE!”, that came out today—it really has no point if you haven’t watched the video)

Dan was so happy they'd brought the old sofa to the new house. He slouched into his sofa crease as he scrolled mindlessly through Tumblr, enjoying the aesthetic posts.

Phil was sitting at the other end of the sofa with his laptop, occasionally typing something, occasionally giggling. "More puppy videos?" Dan asked idly, still staring at his phone, but got no response. He looked up, catching Phil with a slightly guilty look on his face. "Um ... what's going on?"

"Nothing!" Phil said, all sunshine and innocence. Dan wasn't sure if he believed it, but it was true that sometimes Phil just giggled over stupid shit for no apparent reason. Dan just shrugged and went back to his scrolling. His stomach rumbled.

"What do you want for dinner?" he asked. Phil just shrugged, still absorbed in his laptop. "How about curry?" Phil looked up and smiled, nodding. Dan considered the contents of the kitchen, wondering whether they had all the necessary ingredients. "We need to place another Tesco order soon."

Phil, still staring at his laptop and not looking up, said, "Put bananas on the list."

Dan put his phone down and got up to go take his turn at making dinner, shaking his head fondly. Phil and his new banana obsession.
