So many schools have funding problems and always have the problem of not enough money for devices! This is a great way to get devices in the classroom, without needing one for every student! Plicker is a program that only requires ONE mobile device with a camera. Â Students get cards (printed by the teacher) so they can give their answers to multiple choice questions. Then, the teacher can take the one mobile device and scan the cards in the room.Â
Not only do students enjoy using Plickers, but I enjoy using it too.  I can’t tell you the number of times I have tried to use technology with all of my students and we spend 20 of our 38 minutes just trying to get the computers to turn on and load! Using Plickers is a really quick, hassle-free way to get instant feedback from students.  I love using this throughout a lesson as a quick formative assessment to see how students are doing, and it is also great as a review too.  When I am using these, I don’t have to worry about wasted time or energy on getting technology to work....unless it is the ONE device I need to use!!Â
