So he’s meeting Winifred’s parents at the county fair? Aren’t they moving a bit too fast. They’ve seen each other a total of about 2-3 times (at least on the show?) and I thought that he had agreed to temporally stop his internship until further notice.

“Fond enough to think about marrying her?” “I’m not thinking that far ahead.” Really Gilbert? You danced once with Anne last week and you managed to think about marriage, all in the course of a day.  Also, I don’t know how appealing it would be to get married right before Gilbert enters med school.

Josie looks about 15 in that dress and shouldn’t be thinking about marriage. Also, she could so much better than Billy.

I laughed way too hard when Anne yelled out to Mathew, “Gilbert needs cufflinks!”. I hope she doesn’t get the impression that he’s going through all of that trouble for her.

Sidenote: didn’t Mathew think that if he placed his impressive but nonetheless dirty radish on his bed, Marilla was going to through a fuss.

Oh come on Anne, answer Diana’s question, “Do you have a crush on Gilbert?”

Is it me or did I think that Diana was going to tell Anne right there, that she was seeing Jerry?

I hope she tells her soon because I don’t think Anne is going take the news well, if she found out that she wasn’t as in the loop as Diana was about her and Gilbert.

So according to the fortune teller, she’s destined for someone who is a tall, dark and a good dancer. While it fits the description of Gilbert perfectly, it also fits the desires of just about every 16-year-old. Who am I to complain? I could use a tall, dark and good dancer in my life.  

I feel like Diana could have handled Anne’s spotting of Anne and Gilbert a bit better.

Yay, Prissy Andrews is back and she’s not only thriving at college but also has plans to independently secure her future.

Jerry and Diana’s signaling behind their parents’ back was cute.

Mrs. Barry didn’t need to make such distasteful comments about Jerry’s family.

Mrs. Lynde’s horrified look once she saw Miss Stacy’s sharpshooting skills was absolutely needed.

Oh no, the liniment has returned to haunt her again.

“I wish you two every happiness”. Don’t think that’s what Gilbert had in mind. I hope he now realizes that she has developed feelings for him.

“We’re literally going to hell in a handbasket.” -Oh, Marilla.

With Anne and Winifred each on the side of Gilbert, it’s such an awkward arrangement

Ruby and Moody, I’m not mad at it.

Josie and Bill are standing a bit too close to one another.

Anne asking if dull Charlie was a good dancer was funny.

All I need is your pretty face.” because what anyone who is approaching the subject of marriage wants is a discussion on how they’re not financially secure. Billy can’t even find a middle decent job because he doesn’t have a hs diploma. Run Josie, run as far as you can.

Fuck Billy, fuck Billy, fuck billy (x1000). Of course, she wants to talk, you just told her something that could heavily impact her future’s quality of life. Also, there were a lot of implications that Billy and Josie weren’t exactly on the same page.

Great so now Billy is going to spread damaging rumors about Josie because she refused to go further.

Miss Stacy asking Mathew to dance in order so that both could spite Mrs. Lynde was everything.

Oh, Mathew looks so adorably lost.

Fuck the rumors going around.

Being sexually interested does not equal consent.

I hope Jane’s “like bread and butter comment” wasn’t referring to Josie and Billy.

Seeing Ms. Lynde being turned/dragged around by Mathew was absolutely hilarious and break needed. 

I so wish Anne had a comeback for Billy when she confronted him.

I love how Anne is ready to come to the needs of all of her friends, even those with which she has a lukewarm relationship with, such as that of Josie. 

Seeing that Josie’s not in school also shows that the rumors are going to impact her education.

Seriously, what happened to the Scottish ritual from last week. Did they forget already that “their bodies belong to them and only them” bit?

While Anne is correct about the gender inequality issues though I hope that Gilbert took it not as she’s immature and more that she that does have a point.

A talk or discussion on gender relations and expectations could do everyone some good. 

Thank god Anne is going to put the school press to action.

Final Thoughts:

Fuck Billy once again. I don’t want to blame his parents an overt amount but as his mother is a member of the “Progressive Mothers” group, I would hope that he would have been brought up on how to act civil.

Winifred’s dress was seriously beautiful.

Miss Stacy desperately needs to give the sex ed/consent talk soon.

From what Max and Lucas had told him, which wasn’t much, Billy sounds just like how Will thinks Lonnie would be when he was younger. So talking to him is something that he would usually avoid, – why would he want to speak to anyone that would make him feel the same way his father and those kids at school made him feel? But if it came to a choice, just like it did this time, Will is far more willing to be the one to do it, rather than his friends.
