Does she ever think she's really going to fulfill the dream? Probably not but it's nice to imagine. Dreaming it up when she'd find herself staying away from home a little longer than she use to. She wants to find her place. Not the one her mother wanted from her, not as Dustin's older sister, but as Elie. Just Elie. It may just be a dream for now but she hopes one day she might be able to make it a reality. She couldn't wait to graduate and kiss Hawkin's High goodbye. Those halls have seen polar opposites of her. From head cheerleader to rebellious outcast. You don't take a fall from Hawkin's royalty and walk away clean after all.

✘♚✘ "It's a hell of a lot nicer in the sun there than in the snow in Maine," Billy reasoned. "Tell you what, you come out to San Diego, and I'll give you the VIP tour." His grin caused his blue eyes to sparkle, even in the dark of the night that surrounded the pair up on the billboard catwalk. The problem was, Billy had no idea if he'd be back in San Diego. It certainly sounded more appealing than staying in Hawkins after he graduated, but currently, he was at the mercy of his father. And that mercy didn't extend very far.

"You know, with as often as you lose her I'm wondering if maybe you shouldn't get a collar for her or somethin man." Steve folded his arms over his chest, "Maybe if you dialed back your shitty breakfasts?" he questioned, unable to keep the amusement out of his voice. "Haven't seen her, Henderson was here earlier but he didn't say anything. Why, trying to make her life difficult...again?"

She's surprised for some reason that the car has no name, but it's clear he's proud of it, which only makes her smile more. It says something about him that he cares this much about it, and maybe that's just the part of her that loves cars too, but she walks around it a little. She actually wonders how much time and effort he puts into it, especially given she knows that most people aren't just handed these things.

“You really are dangerous...” she says gently, chewing on her lip for a moment at the prospect of a joy ride. There is still classes, and she has rehearsal after, and everything inside of her is telling her that absolutely she should not skip...but that grin. Exactly how was she supposed to say 'no' to that face? Well...crap. “Of course I do. We both know that I do...how can I turn down listening to her purr? Plus, I seem to remember you have good music taste, or something...”

✘♚✘ The grin over Billy's face only widened when Ally agreed to go with him. She mentioned the car purring, and in that moment, he knew he wanted to make something else purr, too. He watched as she stared at the Camaro with wonder in her eyes and could tell that she wasn't faking her interest in the car just to get his attention. She really liked it and somehow that made the blonde all the more hot in his eyes.

"You'll have to see for yourself," he replied as he moved away from the driver's side. He went to the passenger door and unlocked it before opening it for her. It was a gentlemanly move that wasn't always his MO, but Billy knew how to impress women that he was interested in.

Then he moved to the driver's door and hopped in. With a turn of the keys, the Camaro roared to life. He revved the engine a little, sinking further into the seat that vibrated with the sound. Then he grabbed a mix tape he had made not too long ago and popped it into the deck. The loud sounds of Wild Side by Mötley Crüe played through the speakers as he took off from the school, putting distance between them and Hawkins High.

Eddie purses his lips a little to hide the smile that creeps across his lips. Nodding to himself, he sips his beer, avoiding Billy's gaze as he goes on. "You were," he agrees plainly, but without any malice behind it. If anything, he just appreciates Billy owning up to that behaviour, not trying to shrug it off. The old Billy--the one that had spent a lot of time bullying him in high school--probably would have gone about this an entirely different way. He sees the growth and he respects it.

Deep brown hues glance over to Billy when he trips over his words. He's patient, but surprised to hear the other boy stuttering. Head tilts, a brow quirked curiously while the other searches for his explanation. When it finally comes out, Eddie swallows, chin tilting upwards as he regards the other with understanding. Although he hadn't had quite the experience Billy had in the Upside Down, Eddie had always understood sensitivity to light and sound. Being overstimulated was something he experienced almost on a daily basis. Apparently, his way of dealing with that was just a little different than Billy's.

"Yeah, man, I know what you mean," he assures him, shrugging. "Honestly? That's why I play it so damn loud." He presses his tongue to the inside of his cheek. "Like a fuckin' safe haven, ya know? It blocks out all the other overwhelming bullshit. If I play it loud enough I can...just focus on that. The music." A pause. He shakes his head, glancing down at the can of beer in his hand, the floor...

✘♚✘ The logic Eddie had for playing so loudly made perfect sense to Billy. It was why in the past, he had always played his music so loud. With the speakers throbbing in his ears, he could almost drown out the anger that buzzed constantly in this brain. Loud, thrashing music always had an ironic calming effect on the teen's usual tumultuous heart. If anything, his neighbor's music should have been somewhat soothing, or at least a call to normalcy as it harkened to simpler days before the Upside Down. Perhaps it was the fact that he no control over it that had set Billy off. Then again, he was pretty sure that the music wasn't the root of his outburst, but rather the last straw in an already long and frustrating day.

It was the apology that caused a playful smirk to slowly blossom across Billy's lips. He recalled the way Eddie had egged him on, countering his own loud, violent anger with mischievous, teasing quips that only upset him more. It was bold. Stupid, but incredibly bold, and Billy actually respected the balls that Munson clearly had. "Are you actually sorry?" Billy asked, hoping the answer would be 'no'. Not that he was looking for another fight, nor wanted to give the metalhead too much of an ego, but he liked that the other seemed so unapologetically authentic to himself.

The grimace almost made her second guess herself, but oh, that grin. She actually hated that she liked it so much, but she meant every bit of it, so she was glad to get that reaction. Kinda of hard to remain any semblance of cool with him though, if she just kept playing all of her cards here though, so to speak.

No, because, that twinkle in his eyes was going to kill her.

Ally can't help but grin though as he holds out his hand and she takes it after only a moment of pretending like she's thinking about. Her fingers even interlace with his, which goodness she feels is bold. After all, she feels like if she seems way too eager, it'll be like every other girl he's already met. She can't believe he would be unaware of the whispers about him since he got here, and while she does want to spend time with him, and she's enjoying their banter, she doesn't want to give him too much and then have him be bored with her.

Still, she follows him out to his car even though they should probably be more concerned with classes, and she can't help but get excited. Her one big thing from her parents the day she turned 16 was her own car that she is super protective of, but this one is just so pretty.

✘♚✘ Even as he played everything slow and cool, Billy had a one track mind. As Ally laced her fingers with his and he held her warm hand all the way from the football field to the student parking lot, he was sure she was sending him signals. If he hadn't been mentally going through his plan (remembering the best place to park for privacy, recalling if he stashed a new condom in his wallet, etc.), he might have stopped to simply enjoy the moment. Ally captivated his attention almost immediately and that wasn't something easily done with the boy who's thoughts raced twenty miles a minute. She was beautiful and actually made him laugh.

As they reached the Camaro, Billy beamed proudly as he leaned casually against the driver's door, one arm outstretched along the top of the car. "No name. Just the roar of that engine," he answered. He'd worked his ass off for years to pay for it, and still continued to work on it, perfecting it into the parent-hating, rebel-teen loving machine it is.
