All White || Avery & Grayson
It was mind blowing. That was the only way Grayson could think to describe the way his life was going, and how much it had changed in over just a few months. He knew he probably sounded like a broken record, at least in his own mind, but it was a hard concept to grasp. This time last year, he was sitting in his bedroom at his dadâs house, probably jotting down random lyrics while his Friends box set of DVDs played in the background. And now people knew his name, now he was getting invited to these events that heâd never even dreamed of being able to see in person. It was crazy, like a roller coaster, full of twists and turns -- but he was loving every second of it.
Grayson had, fortunately, went along with Tristan to the party once before, so he did know what to expect, but it was weird to him to know that this time, he wasnât someone elseâs plus one. As for his plus one, he honestly had no idea who to bring, and he was a little concerned he wouldnât be able to find anyone who wanted to go. And how bad would it look if he showed up alone? It was the part he was most nervous about, finding someone to go with. But Avery, much to his relief, even though everyone had to know who he was at this point, was willing to tag along.
And this time, he wasnât stupid enough to confuse himself and already dress in the clothes he was supposed to wear on the carpet, as they would have time to change later on. He had plenty of energy all day, his trip back home had helped him get his head back on straight, just as he had hoped it would, and he was basically bouncing around all morning, waiting for noon to arrive, and when he only had five minutes left to wait at 12:25, he decided he was tired of standing around inside. âThe car isnât here yet,â he announced as he passed the other boyâs room, heading to the door. âBut Iâm going to go out already! Iâll see you in a few!â
