An Olitz Surprise
I’m not a very experienced writer, but i like to try my hand at it sometimes. i hope you like it and i apologize in advance for the grammatical errors. i was bored and wrote this within the last 30 minutes. ___________________________________________________________________ It was a warm, sunny day in the nations capital, washington dc. there was a nice breeze, not a cloud in sight. The president of the united states, fitzgerald grant iii, was pacing in the rose garden. he had been there for a nearly an hour and he was checking his watch impatiently. his wife, Olivia Carolyn Pope-Grant, was working since early that morning at opa. however, at a little past noon, she called him. it was a really busy day and she wasn’t feeling well so she was coming home to the white house earlier than usual. the rose garden was always fitz and olivia’s spot. fitz had set up a lunch for her that day since the weather outside was so lovely. after a while, fitz began to worry. she should have been home by now. where was she? he called her with a slight panic in his voice as she answered the phone, “livvie, where are you? you should be here by now. is everything alright?” a smile spread across her face as she listened to him, “fitz, i’m fine, baby. i had to make a quick stop from work and it’s still lunch traffic. i will be there shortly. be patient.” soon after, olivia walked up to him in the rose garden. he was facing away from her talking to tom, one of his guards on his secret service detail. she sneaked up behind him and wrapped her arms around him from behind, “guess whooooo!” olivia loved to be playful with fitz. seeing him smile made her whole world light up. if anyone were to ask olivia what her favorite thing in the world is, she would say fitz’ smile and/or his eyes. she swore that she fell more and more in love with him everytime he laughed at her, or looked at her with that boyish, lovestruck look of his. fitz turned around excitedly and wrapped her tiny body up in his big, muscular arms. one of his arms was about the size of her whole body. she loved his embrace. it made her feel so safe and she was also really turned on by his strength most of the time. “livvie! you’re finally home. i missed you so much. it’s been since yesterday morning. i have had so much work to do. i hate when i don’t get to tell you goodnight before bed.” she smiled at him lovingly, “well i’m here now and i am starving, so lets eat!” Fitz slid her chair out for her, helping her sit. the two had been married for nearly a year now, and they still haven’t gotten out of the honeymoon phase. they were the love story of the century. they ate their lunch together, laughing and playing footsies underneath the table. both of them were so happy. they were finally able to be happy together, in public, freely as a couple. soon after they finished eating, they stayed a little more and talked about their day. olivia then pulled something from her royal blue prada bag, “fitz, i have a surprise for you.” in her hand she was holding a long velvet box. fitz was sure it was another watch. she always bought him new watches. it was her thing. he opened it with a smile and paused, his eyes widening with wonder. “oh my gosh, livvie! i…” he looked up at her with tearful eyes, “really?” she nodded with a new kind of happiness in her eyes, one that he had never seen before. inside the velvet box, was a positive pregnancy test. the two were in heaven. fitz picked her up from her chair and spun her around. kissing her everywhere he could reach. “oh, baby, i love you so much!!! i can’t believe we are having a baby!” olivia giggled, “yes sir! one down and one to go. a few more months and we’ll be in vermont. we’ll have a baby and i’ll be making jam. we’re halfway to the dream, baby.”they spent the entire afternoon celebrating, making announcements to family and friends, and then to the country. it was their little miracle and they couldn’t have been happier.
CMW2/Trumpetnista: Safe (8/?)
Summary from FFN: NOW A WIP: She was Olivia Pope, not Alex Jones, not Julia Baker, and she was a mess;In this AU of 4x16, instead of Alex seducing Russell to feel alive again, Olivia decides on a better course of action, a course of action that starts with a phone call to Fitz;HEAVY SPOILERS FOR SEASON 4 WITHIN;Rated for language, imagery, and later Olitz lovemaking;4th in my 2016 SSS Project
Teaser from Chapter 8: It needed to go.
The couch needed to go.
It was a constant reminder of what had happened to her, now. It was poison.’
Yes, she and Fitz had their good moments on it. After hearing their first time on tape, he had held her for One Minute, comforting her and saying goodbye. When he came to her to run out the clock, the couch had been where he sat, looking at her with all the love in the world, all the trust in the world. She had fallen into his arms on the couch, letting herself be loved and letting go...
...but now? The couch had to go. The couch and the whole apartment, for that matter! Why was she still living there? Even before her abduction, there were so many bad times in the place, more than good. It had been a point of pride to stay put. Olivia had seen it as a sign of strength to stay but had it really been? It was something to think about. It was something to talk about, both with her therapist and her family. She had money. She had contacts. Finding a new place in or close to DC would be simple, even with the inherent hassle of moving.
She would have one less piece of furniture to deal with in the process...

My Final Thoughts on 7x03 (taken from Shattering’s latest A/N...)
Before I begin, I'd like to thank everyone who has kept reading this story because it's been 150 chapters! I totally didn't notice until I saw a couple of reviews and I was like: oh, yeah...LOL! Seriously, thank you. I write for me but it's always dope to know that folks enjoy my stuff!
703 was fucking AWE-SOME. It really was. Seeing Fitz outside of DC's POWER madness was refreshing and quite compelling in places. I know he misses his Livvie just like we do but he's really trying to make a life for himself, trying to be happy. I'm rooting for an Olitz happily ever after or the groundwork laid down to one in the endgame but still...yay, Fitz!
Also, 703 reinforced why I stan him. Fitz is not flawless. Sometimes, he can be a privileged asshole and a pouty broody brat BUT he is willing to grow, willing to learn, and willing to accept & work past his flaws. He is self aware and genuinely humble. Nobody else on the show is like that! His interactions with Marcus (who I still adore and SR better not fucking kill or ruin him, I swear to God!) showcased the good and the bad of Fitz in a way that made me happy. Pretty much, Fitz is acting like TG does IRL when it comes to social issues now & that makes what's left of SCANDAL worth my time.
Fitz makes what's left of SCANDAL worth my time. Always.
The best part of the great episode was when Rowan showed up. I hate Rowan with the fiery passion of a 1000 suns. Every time I see him or hear one of his hotep, bitter old "woke" man standing on the corner monologues, I foam at the mouth but hearing him literally beg Fitz to go back to DC to save Liv from herself (and acknowledging how shitty of a father he is), after all the disrespect towards "the boy", after all the hateful and deadly bullshit he happily did to help Liv in tearing Fitz, herself, and Olitz apart? It was amazing. I always love it when a bully has to swallow a slice of humble pie and Rowan had to eat the whole fucking thing! YAAASSS. SUFFER, YOU PIECE OF SHIT!
704 is already shaping up to be pretty damned dope, too. None of the good things we see between Olitz will count until the Series Finale but Fitz is gonna drag Rowana/Fauxlivia Rhimes kicking and screaming back to reality, back to humanity and it's gonna be lit AF. Is it Thursday yet?
My Final Thoughts on 7x02 (taken from Shattering’s latest A/N)
7x02 was much, much better than the opener. Not to say that Liv doesn't suck all the donkey dick anymore (she does!) but she was tolerable. We could see that underneath all the POWER lust & Rowana arrogance, the Olivia Pope we love is still in there. That being said, the only parts I truly enjoyed about the episode had very little to do with her.
QPA is gold. It really is and it deserves far more respect than it's getting. I loved how Abby and the rest of the surviving Gladiators + Charlie are keeping the Gladiator idea alive, despite Liv obviously abandoning it & them for the sake of POWER. Seriously, she's acting like one of the outcast nerds that gets popular and promptly abandons her true friends. It's sad.
And Quinn should give Liv relationship lessons. Seriously.
Even Mellie and Cyrus were good to watch. I could've done without Mellie whining about just how hard being POTUS is (and they all thought Fitz was just weak? NOPE) and the obvious Trump guy in play but still, everyone but Liv (and a still pressed Joke Bastard) is worth rooting for right now. Everyone but them deserves some sort of happily ever after and I hope we can get some explanation as to why that is in 7x03. What the fuck happened in Mellie's first 100 days that has caused Liv to become...ugh?
But what truly matters? Fitz is back! I knew that he would see Liv with the reporter dude eventually but the way they did it? YES. Fitz is back and I can already tell that Liv is going to be shook like a motherfucker. He was looking fine as all get out and the way that he didn't even really react when he saw her outside of her apartment? YES. He still loves Liv. He always will but he's making a life outside of her, trying to be happy without her. I don't think Liv ever really imagined a time where it seems that Fitz is willing to walk away for good but here we are. Seems like ol' Verna was right back in 2. Now, we just have to see if Liv will actually make the right decisions.
I'm thinking that she won't and that sucks but hey! Fitz is back, motherfuckers and 7x03 is his episode. We get to see what he's been doing now that he's free of DC's POWER hungry madness. It's gonna be lit.
CMW2/Trumpetnista: Shattering Expectations (147/?)
Words from the Gladiator in a Hoodie: This fic will end when the show does. Season 7 is the Curtain Call, the END, and crunch time. I want a good endgame for Liv, Fitz, and Olitz, esp. Liv because while 6 may have come through in some unexpected lovely ways (of course after 5candal botched it so badly in nearly all areas, the Bar going into 6 was lower than the girl in the club in the boots with the fur...), she's in a very bad place mentally, worse than ever. Liv's overall mental and emotional health has been neglected and it shows. It makes me very sad.
That neglect needs to be fixed in 7. That's Priority #1, even before a dead and dismembered Joke Bastard, even before more of the Olitz awesomeness we got post 6x10. Olivia Pope is the show's Leading Lady (not Mellie, Shonda, fuck right off to Hell and Burn!) and she deserves it. I want Liv to get a Recovery Arc like Meredith did in Greys 4B or an even better one. I want Liv to choose her endgame Path. I want her to decisively choose a good life (preferably with Fitz) over the all or nothing, almighty political & social POWER because as the summary of this story aptly points out, POWER is temporary and Misery is forever.
The idea of Olivia being miserable forever makes me want to cry.
But, enough about all of that. It's time to get back in the swing of things. Thank you all again for your love, your patience, your support, and for just being y'all. The show may suck sometimes but the fandom, at least the part that I'm in, is always dope. Thank you. Enjoy the latest!
Summary from FFN: “Ideally, a Presidency lasts 8 years. Ideally, a marriage lasts 50. 8 years of a job, even the highest job in the Land is not worth 42 years of misery…”;“What kind of coward was I to marry her and not wait for you to show up…why didn’t I meet you sooner…"These two lines will be at the core of my latest AU Olitz fic;Rated for language and spice;7th in my 2013 SSS Project
Teaser from Chapter 147: "Momma, isn't Daddy pretty?"
Fitz was sitting across from their daughter who had apparently wanted to play tea party. Krishna Rose had on a glittery blue crown and her red ladybug princess dress. Her husband had a pink feather boa draped over his broad shoulder, a glittery purple crown on his head, and a full face of makeup, lovingly done by his gracious host. He looked up from carefully slicing up apples and gave her a brilliant grin.
"Am I pretty, Livvie?"
"Yes, you are. I like your eyeshadow. It brings out your eyes."
It actually did. The shade was a rich mahogany and his cerulean slate gaze seemed to glow from within. Of course, the glow was mostly from joy but the eyeshadow helped. He could've gone a shade darker with his blush but it was blended well enough. The gloss on his lips was clear and Olivia nodded in approval. Their oldest girl had a growing knack for cosmetology, it seemed. Not to mention the image of her 6'2, 210 pound Presidential husband happily being a canvas warmed her heart. Her family warmed her heart, made life really worth living...
