mellie straight up says at one point she thought fitz was weak but it was really that he wasn’t power hungry and she confused the two. and then fitz goes “I grew up privileged, why would I want power.” the man grew up in a gilded cage and he gets hated for realising the fact he’s in that situation? like sure he’s a manchild or whatever but the guy has no concept of personal agency and manages to exercise whatever freedom he has by simply… not seeking power?

olitz is endgame because they can both help the other. there’ll never be a proper vermont because the true goal they have is freedom. freedom from eli, freedom from big jerry. they’ll still be an unhealthy mess but the thing is that olivia is the one person who understood him, who didn’t reject him, who loved him for the man behind the mask. now fitz is his true self without the pretences, i expect post season seven he’s a much more relaxed man
