The #hinge is one of the primary lower-body #movementpatterns and critical to an efficient #deadlift, regardless of which variation you're #training with. A good hinge keeps the load near the body's center of mass, creating shorter lever arms. A bad hinge lengthens your levers by moving the weight further from your midline. Overall, the deadlift is an excellent tool for learning motor unit recruitment, force production, and total body stability. Here, #FSP #athletes Zach and Colin are executing solid hinge patterns in different deadlift variations. Zach, one of our Phase 1 athletes, is performing #gobletdeadlifts and perfecting his newly acquired hinge #skill. Colin is a Phase 4 vet at FSP performing #sumodeadlifts.
