i hope to have received a masters degree by then, and i hope to be living in nyc. i hope i've found a job as a spanish teacher and pooooooossibly getting all the work and plans underway to open my own school? i'd like to open it in the city because i feel like it would be the most opportune place to start it. i want to open a school that doesn't follow the standard teaching methods of the US, while still meeting the state's requirements and guidelines of course. i want to start a school where kids fall in love with learning again, and create an environment where kids don't feel physically ill with anxiety just thinking about it. i want to start a school where all the students feel confident in their learning, instead of having boring teachers with boring lesson plans--there's absolutely no positive outcome for that. the teachers hate being there, the students aren't engaged in the lesson; there's absolutely no learning going on there. the kids retain 0% of what the teacher droned on and on about for an hour. i want both staff and students to be excited to be there at my school.
