Hétvégén kimentünk úszni Hilaraí Ní Sheaín vel meg Jasonnel. Visszafelé már épp jöttünk, amikor a falon, úgy 4-5 méteres mélységben megláttam két furcsa valamit. Ilyet még élőben sosem láttam, de a rengeteg YouTube videónak hála egyből beugrott a formája. Mint egy gyerek, elkezdtem fröcskölni a vizet, hogy „azta rohadt, nézzétek már meg, mekkora!”
Leúsztam, próbáltam elkapni, de először még mélyebbre menekült, úgy 7 méterre. Utána mentem, és akkor már sikerült kézzel elkapni – próbált küzdeni, de nem kerülhette el a végzetét. A másikat már simán összeszedtem. Még aznap este szépen, szakszerűen, a lehető leghumanusabb módon előkészítettem őket.

Over the weekend, we went out swimming with Hilary and her boyfriend Jason. On our way back, I noticed something strange on the wall at a depth of about 4 to 5 meters—two odd-looking creatures I had never seen before. But after watching a ton of YouTube videos, I kind of recognized the shape. Like a kid, I started splashing in the water, yelling, “Holy shit, look at that, it’s huge!”
I dove down and tried to catch one, but it swam deeper, down to around 7 meters. I followed it, grabbed it firmly with my hand, and even though it tried to escape, it couldn’t avoid its fate. The second one I picked up easily. That same evening, I prepared them properly, in the most humane way possible.
The next morning, we asked the chef at the hotel to grill them—and what you see here is the final result.
