Everyone, I kind of want to get something out of my chest. Recently, I had been looking through old TikToks I had saved. One of them was talking about Francophobia. The comments were “jokingly” mocking French people and the culture. Then, I went slightly deeper down the rabbit hole and found out about the old FuckFrance.com website. Since it doesn’t exist anymore, I used the WayBack Machine to look through it. I was kind of weirded out and disgusted by the posts I saw. I couldn’t really click on any, so I didn’t see the replies attached to the posts.
Why is everyone so Francophobic, especially online these days and why aren’t French people speaking up for themselves against this?

Non French person here: I'm going to start treating hatred of French people (especially from other white people) as the big bright red flag it actually is.
Like, some of the jokes have been funny, but I can no longer even utter a pity chuckle in response because every single person I've met who make these jokes later turns out to be a miserable fucking jackass.
The French are lazy jokes = I am a Capitalist bootlicker 🤡
The French are rude jokes = I often treat service workers like shit 🤡
WWII white flag jokes = I am illiterate 🤡
The Arrogant French jokes = I am a nationalist (usually British or of British decent)🤡
This might just be my experience, but a pattern has emerged, and I am going to take this as a sign from God.
