We open with Cunomon and Foximon in the digital world helping out other Digimon as the world is falling apart around them, helping to get the little Digimon villagers to safety, etc.

Then we see Jenn and me, not our characters but ourselves, as adults. We see them living their lives. Jenn is on a date and I'm at work.

Both of us go home and find giant packages have been left on our doorsteps, and as we try to open them, Foximon and Cunomon fall out.

Then evil Digimon attack as Jenn and I try to wrap our minds around the idea that fan-created Digimon from our childhoods are somehow actually alive and are now fighting off evil Digimon in the real world to defend us.

After the battle, Cuno and Foxi explain that they used a secret government-issue 3D organic printer to print themselves off the internet and then found our addresses and mailed themselves to us. They tell us that there's a terrorist group in the real world that is slowly erasing the internet piece by piece, to cripple the entire world's economy and send nations into chaos, and if that works, the digital world will be erased too.

Jenn and I struggle with the fact that we are adults now and this would be crazy to deal with ourselves, but we agree to meet up together to fight the terrorists and help our Digimon save the internet. It's all very dramatic and action-filled just like the Saturday morning cartoons we all remember!
