Ahhhh thank you so much anon 😭😭 I started watching Stranger Things when season 2 came out and binged the entirety of season 1 and 2 for like two days. By the end of 2 I was definitely thinking there might be something there between Mike and Will but it was season 3 and the rain fight that had me 100% convinced that byler was/would be a thing. Then season 4 dropped and jesus lord that van scene broke me into a million pieces. But I didn't become an active part of the fandom until I joined tumblr back in like September and discovered a whole community of people just like me. I discovered fanfic at about the same time and the two that I first read (undertow by @byeler and i'm tearing you asunder by @smoosnoom) got me fully into the fandom and 100% on the byler train and I haven't looked back lol
While I've absolutely thought about some kind of pianist byler au, I'm not a writer so all of my ideas just float around in my head. BUT! I actually started writing pieces for byler fics because of a story by @toystoryfan! There's a scene in that story where Mike is undercover at a party and Will is playing the piano! So I wrote a piece based on that scene and have since been on the lookout for other stories that really sing to me and put the music in my head lol. If you search the tag #jon at the piano on my blog you'll find more I've done, if you're curious!
