I had ideas for an Au of the TROD AU or just regular AU that involves the amnesia trope that I'm spinning in my head so I'm gonna post it here for safe keeping.
First idea is permanent amneisa, second is if it was temporary
Hold these. I may or may not make a one shot or something

This is just a collection of thoughts I had after watching the latest episode. I had a lot of thoughts after re-watching the back half of the episode. Something in the way things were emphasized by Brennan is making me wonder, could the trickster goddess still be alive in some form?
I am writing this mostly organize my own thoughts that have been spinning more and more with every episode. Brennan's lore for this world is so juicy. I'll be interested to come back to this in the future when we learn more information.
Spoilers though episode 23.
I was just watching the second half of the episode and something struck me when Brennan was going over/synthesizing the info Bolaire had on Termina and coffin, etc. Taliesin had a moment of shock at the thought that a sliver of the trickster goddess could be living in the mask.
I found it interesting that Bennan emphasized that to Bolaire's memory, what they did did not break Termina. Taliesin had a very good point in saying, "So why would I think she was destroyed if she wasn't? Why would you put that in a thing's head unless there was a reason to not go looking for them?"
Brennan also made a point to remind them that this coffin was designed with the halfling plates in the halfling tradition for Olbalad who was their Celestial and was made, seemingly, very much in line with the other profane objects revolving around celestials and the path from life to death (along side the candle, the stone of night song, and the amphora of paint (which could be what was taken from Azgraz blood in Tannesar -- a thought for another day)).
Now why would someone make a coffin relating to Olbalad and end up with the mask that was supposedly worn by Rauwyn during that ritual? Unless, perhaps, she never did. It has not been stated specifically who all else wore the other five Panto masks for the ritual, but it would logically follow that they could have been the other celestial beings who were directly a part of Rauwyn's 'court' so to speak, including a right hand, her psychopomp Olbalad.
Was Termina, the mask that was believed to have been used on Rauwyn to trap her in the Panto, the story that killed her, actually worn by Olbalad? Did Rauwyn successfully switch places with her psychopomp? Is this how Termina ended up in a casket designed to profane the hafling celestial Olbalad and the means of passage from life to death? Did that switch crack her? Did Rauwny change Bolaire's perception of the way that ritual truly went?
I have so many questions.
I also find it very curious that while we have heard about five barrowdells, we have not heard about one for where Rauwyn fell yet. What we have learned so far is missing the Rauwyn and the Beastfolk Shaper (who is also unnamed as of yet).
Eternal Night - Tansul
Stormwrack - Torzhan
The Wastes - Sylandri
Unammed - Barrowdell of Illumi - noted as causing the world wide issues with long distance teleportation, scrying, etc.
The Blooming - Azgra
I will be very curious to know if we learn of one for her what form it takes if its there at all. The Barrowdells all have elements of being opposite of their Shapers form in their 'curse' on the land: Sun god caused eternal night in his absence, the goddess of life caused a blighted land where everything is withered and dead, the goddess of the forge's absence cause the land to be soaked in a forever-storm so no flame can be sparked, and the god of war that ruled over a ruinous land of smoke and ash left a verdant, life abundant land in his wake. How may an opposite of "trickery" manifest as a curse on the land?
Another little thing that I found interesting is that Rauwyn had taken Memnir, the Father of Waves as her consort. With all this recently emphasis on the Sea Door, the vision of the Tachionis sailing off into the mists, the mists pooling in the coffin pocket dimension to somewhere, it all has me raising an eyebrow.
Now all of this is just pure conjecture. But If Rauwyn still exist out there I don't imagine she would have got out of that ritual unscathed. She likely still lost some part of herself to it. We know the Shapers were not the originators of life on Araman, but rather beings that came to Araman from elsewhere and used their access to the primordial beings to elevate themselves and tapping some font of power of the world to elevate themselves to Godhood and shaped world and the peoples upon it.
Could she exist still in the cracks in the world, in a half life? Not dead, but not fully alive? Could putting Rauwyn down for good or prevent her from coming back be the end game for the campaign?
I could definitely see how some people may view this possibility as cheapening the narrative in some way given the premise for the campaign was coming into a world 70 years post the gods being killed. This is the reason why even if things make my brain go ??? and theorize, I know there is every possibility this is way off base. We are still so early on. But I love fantasy and dnd and lore :)
Today I found a ladybug that had climbed onto my leg. I named him Jeremy and took him to my friend's birthday party in the park. He kept crawling all over my hands on the bus ride, and then settled down.
At the party he was just resting on a tissue pack because I needed my hands for eating. But I still let him crawl all over me. He always raised his front legs and reached for my finger when I neared it to him.
And now, in the evening, we started packing up. And I couldn't take him home, so I left him in the park.
I put him on a tree and watched him climb up untill my neck hurt.
I finally understand what the song "Chords" by The Amazing Devil means.
Fantastic. Again, Iβm seeing this photo for the first time. Itβs this from GARF or one of the most recent photos shared by Ilya on VK? Iβve been away for so many years that only now Iβm catching up with everything that has been shared. Also - thank you so much for your help!
Evil Bad Guy could be trying to craft an Impossible Craft but their understanding of said Impossible Craft requires a bunch of base components from Biomes that don't exist in minecraft yet. they have knowledge that these Biomes can arise from transforming existing Biomes with Mysterious Plants that came to earth from venus (a play on the tall tale of venus flytraps coming from a meteor carrying plantlife from venus)
Interesting ideas, though I'm not entirely sure how existing Minecraft biomes are relevant to my game. I do have ideas for at least two "magic" biomes at the moment (and I'll probably come up with more).
I'm going back and forth on what exactly the Evil Bad Guy is hoping to achieve. I do want what it is capable of in-game to be the same as what the player is, both for laziness reasons (I don't want to have to draw and balance a bunch more things that the enemy specifically can do but the player can't) and so it's theoretically easier to implement multiplayer if I ever get to the stage where that is a feasible thing to do

apparently at some point between me getting my camera (many years ago) there came along a whole ass website devoted to doing well and on purpose the thing I do poorly and by guesswork, which is: finding settings to make your marvel of technology mirrorless digital camera look like an ancient probably cheap as hell film gadget you bought in the back of a walgreens sometime in the 90s
Hi! Im so happy to find a community for worshippers like me ππ!!
I'm still pretty new here so, are there any resources you recommend for beginners in daedra worship?
Hi I'm so glad you're here anon! I get most of my info from the games, Tumblr (I have a tag #for later reference, that might have info you seek) and this Google doc.

The link should work and has information on the Aedra, Daedra, and a few other Elder Scrolls deities. It's my most used resource to be honest. There's also a tiny Daedra worshipping subreddit I was on but it's mostly inactive now. I hope this helps!
