I know you didnât ask for âasks,â but Iâve got some: What was the first fanfic OC you ever created? Which fanfic OC has the most elaborate backstory and/or detailed character design? Whatâs the weirdest OC youâve ever created (fanfic or not)? Which of all your OCs do you relate to the very most?
Oh lord, first of all, Iâm always down for asks. Everyone ask me things all the time. Alright, first fanfic OC? Are you ready for this. Christina Liam. 100% my girl started as a Buffy OC and I will never forget my roots for I have grown from them. She was the very first character I ever created to go into a universe that had been manufactured by someone else. Tom was a quick second as we needed to round out the Buffy/Angel formula with yet another Slayer/Vamp Boy. Fanfic OC with the most elaborate backstory is Amon-Shinpi, hands down. I mean, she was also my first explicitly fanfic OC. Iâve been writing her since 2009, which I consider my first step into fanfiction but I now remember I was apart of a group fanfic in high school featuring my OC Indigo who was a guitar playing punk wolf-girl who dressed like a mix between Avril Lavigne and Gerard Way. Anyway, Shinpi is definitely the most developed. Iâve hammered out her backstory for 10 years at this point and it has been well worth the effort.Weirdest OC ever? Oh shit. Let me think. I mean, outside of fanfic I write urban fantasy and have so many demons around I donât think itâs fair to choose but I have to pick Frankie the Hipster Demon. Love that guy but letâs be real about him. Heâs super off. Who gets down with pixies on acid? Like. What a guy. I think of all my OCs I relate to Rose the most, mainly because she is very loosely based on me and my experiences in Idaho. Extremely loosely. By the scantest margin. I love her though and I definitely put a lot of myself into her, or at least the pieces of me that I think needed the most work when I lived in Idaho.Â

-In Skyhold, the Inquisitorâs stairwell is never finished. In Ahkarr Lavellanâs canon, itâs because he spent the money that was supposed to finish the staircase on the most beautiful Orlesian-style bathhouse youâve ever seen. Boy likes to be pampered.
-Xun von Solroyal can play the violin, the cello, the harp, the piano, and the flute. However, he canât sing to save his life.
-Valerius Surana, my Grey Warden, favors battleaxes even though his main weapon is a greatsword. He never learned how to properly use a sword because he was trained as a Circle mage, and later learned the Arcane Warrior spec. Itâs really obvious because heâs basically running around hitting things with a giant sword, not actually sword fighting.
Time Travel AU Day 2.8: Progress is still slow (I did more of Winterâs Lease for most of the time), but I did at last nail one of the interlude passages I need to add to chapter 1. I think I need a big effort on chapter 4 next, to get things moving forward again now I have a plan of how.
