Itās time for our fifth task! Please note that tasks are not required, but encouraged, and are only to inspire character development and activity.
This task will be about image. Image. Itās what being an idol is all about. An idolās image is their brand and their brand is money, just like any celebrity figure. People can change from one day to the next, but if an image changes, it has to be a carefully crafted business move. Opinions and actions have to be carefully thought through before speaking or acting, lest a scandal be the end of their career. Trainees go through plenty of image management courses before debut in hopes of crafting the perfect, marketable image. Some get told to act like a perfected version of some of their real personality traits, while others get told to do a complete 180 from who they are off-screen.
An idolās image and brand is their entire career, so for this task, youāre asked to explore that image for your muse, how itās affected them, and their feelings on it.
Be sure to tag any completions of this task with #fmdtask005 so the admin can verify them with a like!
Write a headcanon or self-para about your museās celebrity image. This can be approached in a number of ways. You can just detail what their image is and how theyāre marketed, you can recount how their image has expanded over time, you can write about how an event like a scandal or career opportunity has affected their image, etc., as long as it focuses on their external image and how their fans and/or the general public see them. This should be 400+ words and will be worth three points, not counting toward your monthly limit.
Write a headcanon or self-para about how your muse feels about their image. This can also be approached in a number of ways. You can write about how they see the gap between their image and their real self, how they would shape their image if they could, the struggles maintaining their image has put them through, etc. This should be 400+ words and will be worth three points, not counting toward your monthly limit.
Fill out an official profile. Some of you may already have one on your blog, but please fill out this profile template and post it for this part of the task. It should be written either as if by a marketing director at their company or as if by a fan compiling information from public appearances and statements, either way, feeding into their image and avoiding unattractive information. The answers do not have to be factual, particularly sections like height, weight, and ideal type. Completion of this will be worth two points.
A total of eight points is available for this task for each muse.
This task runs from 12PM EST Sunday, November 4, until 11:59PM EST Sunday, November 18.
