A delightful treat, these homemade cinnamon sugar donuts are ideal for breakfast or as a sweet snack. They have a delicious cinnamon sugar coating and are fluffy and flavorful.
Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 2 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon. 2/3 cup milk. 2 large eggs. 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted. 1 tsp vanilla extract. Oil for frying.
Instructions: In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350F 175C. Drop spoonfuls of dough into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove donuts with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. While still warm, roll donuts in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar to coat them. Serve warm and enjoy!
