form: Hi! This is a small drabble I wrote about my OC Volt and Vash. The art youâll see at the end is a beautiful commission made by @zeearts, please go support their amazing works!
about volt: If you wanna know more about my OC Iâll gladly post more about him! ^^ In this AU, Volt works as a archeologist, he especially loves to restore old books and parchments as they are to him the most important form of history youâll find in this world.
The sun long went down on No Manâs Land only leaving the stars and the warm fire as a source of light. Volt was still awake in his tent, insomnia getting the best of him. He decided to get some work done at least. As an archeologist, Volt had to restore very old books, sometimes in a language that wasnât spoken anymore. And this one was definitely giving him a headache. The parchment made with animal skin was rotten in some parts and bitten by the rats in others. The spine was broken and the hard cover was black with dust. Volt sighs and scratches his arm out of impulse, lost in thoughts. He only realized when blood dripped off his arm and had to get up to not damage the book further.
âGod I need a smoke. Itâs been a while since Iâve been craving it.â Volt has stopped smoking ages ago now but having a companion named Nicholas D. Wolfwood whoâs smoking habits are more wild than a fucking car truck was definitely not helping with his condition. Plus he was out of candies to keep his mouth busy with something else than the craving need of nicotine. He went out of his tent and saw Vash in front of the fire place. He smiled softly and went by his side.
âCanât sleep, big guy?â
âYou seem to have the same trouble.â Volt just laughed, his hand still scratching his already wounded arm. Vash was too quick to notice, his prosthetic hand grabbing his.
âSorry⊠Iâve been kinda stressed lately. The craving for smoke gets worse during those times.â
Vash held out his hand and Volt curiously looked at it before putting his hand in, not sure what else to do. He yelped at the sudden pull on his arm and his head was now lying on Vashâs lap, his prothesis hand still intertwined with his and his other hand lost in his hair. Voltâs cheeks were bright red at the sudden closeness but also didnât want to admit the warmth it provided him. Suddenly a lollipop was handed to him in front of his face and he looked at Vashâs fond gaze with surprise. The blond just smiled at him.
âIâve noticed you were eating more sweets than usual these past few days so I stopped by a shop that sells candies before we left the last town to keep some with me. For emergencies.â Volt took it and thanked him in a quiet whisper. Vash just ruffled his hair lovingly, his hand still holding tightly onto his.
âNow why donât you tell me more about that one book youâve been reading lately? Youâve been a lot into it too. I'm curious about what it is now!â
Garyâs hands are shaking. Itâs his third attempt already - or maybe his fifth - but he still canât get it right. The soft silk slips through his trembling fingers.
âCome hereâ
Gary goes. âI couldnât sleep tonight. Is that how it feels?â
Heâs met with a chuckle and steady hands tying his tie for him. âIt does when itâs right.â
âYou are not upset?â - Gary asks as he tips his chin up, letting the knot be adjusted up, the tie snug around his collar. - "That I amâŠthat this isâŠâ
âUpset? No.â
The tie feels perfect. Gary closes his eyes and breathes.
âGary, you were sixteen when you got returned to me with two broken ribs and a black eye. You remember that?â
Gary does. Heâd kissed a classmate after school, hidden in a corner of the school yard. It hadnât been hidden enough. Public school in the â80s in Manchester had been something else. His classmate had been pulled from school after that. Heâd spent a week in the hospital.
âI must not have learnt my lesson. I repeated it on national television.â
âYes. Well, you have always been stubborn.â
Gary chuckles and it comes out a little wet. He wipes his eyes.
âSorry.â - he says - âItâs justâŠâ
I canât quite believe it, maybe.
Kind hands adjust the lapels of his suit one more time, grounding. âOf all my playersâŠyou are the one who surpassed the most expectations. All of mine for sure. I am not upset. Iâve been waiting for someone to notice and look at you the way he does.â
Gary can only nod, biting his lips not to let more tears spill, not to smile like an idiot. âThank you, boss.â
âYou are welcome, son. Now go marry your Scouser and bring shame upon us all.â
- Â Â Â Â (pre-NOES10 events)- Quentin was actually alone during all those failed attempts to ask out Nancy (3 times), she just would not show up. He had lied to her and said some of his friends might tag along and lied later when she would say âI forgotâ or âher mom said noâ but truly, he was alone. *
- Â Â Â Â Nancy loved when Quentin would come alone to the diner, it would happen rarely (at least without Jesse + his friends) but she enjoyed them
- Â Â Â Â Nancy drew and painted Quentin even before they were in a relationship
- Â Â Â Â (Leaked Script!)- Nancy listened to Quentinâs podcast every night before going to sleep and while doing homework
- Â Â Â Â During their recovery period, Alan and Gwen attempted to separate Nancy and Quentin but they both turned hostile to their parents.
- Â Â Â Â They are both extremely affectionate but, in the sense, they are constantly holding hands, clinging to one another, cuddling, snuggling or just lingering close by each other.
- Â Â Â Â Theyâre both bisexual icons
- Â Â Â Â Sure, they kissed before dealing with Freddy but it took a while for them to actually kiss one another again. It wasnât because they did not want to, but because they needed a bit more time to heal before really cementing their relationship
- Â Â Â Â Nancyâs first night out of hospital consisted of screaming and crying in her sleep. She believed that Freddy could be back. Quentin tried to sleep on the inflatable mattress beside her bed, but moved up and held her in his arms until she stopped crying. This cycle repeated until Quentin just held her in his arms when they slept all the time.
- Â Â Â Â 3 weeks after attending therapy, Quentin asked Nancy out officially to a simple dinner-date. What dinner meant was Quentin just picked up Chinese and they sat outside under a tree.
- Â Â Â Â Nancy likes to lay on Quentinâs chest just to listen to his heartbeat, it calms her down
- Â Â Â Â Nancy still wears Quentinâs pendant
- Â Â Â Â They canât watch horror movies anymore unless itâs a cheesy, melodramatic one with shitty graphics
- Â Â Â Â Even months after therapy, Quentin had a breakdown in the shower. The door was locked. Nancy just sat on the other side of the door and soothed him by saying that sheâd protect him and that she loved him.Â
- Â Â Â Â Quentin and Nancy switch between being big/little spoon but a solid 60% of the time, itâs just them tangled up with one another
- Â Â Â Â They notice small details about themselves (scars, smells, feelings, speech-patterns) so no dream could ever replicate each other (or you know, Freddy)
- Â Â Â Â Nancy likes to trace Quentinâs scars on his torso and Quentin loves to run his fingers through her hair
- Â Â Â Â Nancy is pretty self-assured and playful; she likes to cheekily take Quentinâs beanie, jackets, and random items just to mess with him. Quentin often gets her back though
- Â Â Â Â Quentin and Nancy are both impulsive dumbasses (like the script intended)
- Â Â Â Â Quentin actually does not remember their first kiss in the Badham basement, Nancy does
- Â Â Â Â Quentin went into a recovery-period for his wounds (stomach and chest specifically) and his mental health and on that route, he gained a bit of weight. It was not a lot but his stomach got a lot softer. Nancy did not mind this at all and tells him she even prefers this âsofterâ Quentin.
- Â Â Â Â Quentin is actually pretty ticklish and Nancy found this out and has not let it go. She gets him whenever she can (itâs the way she torments him)
- Â Â Â Â When Nancy called him after Jesse was arrested (despite you know, it being bad), Quentin actually said a small âyes!â under his breath when he saw her ID
- Quentin has developed a more snarky and self-assured personality after Freddy. He is still his gentle self but with a new-found maturity. Nancy, for one, loves this little development.
- Back in Badham, Quentin and Nancy were the closest, Nancy would scribble out small pictures of him and theyâd play pretend together
- *Nancy found out about this and made it up to him by attending each of those date plans
- They both get pretty flustered (mostly Quentin but it does not mean Nancy has not been)
hereâs your request, love! I hope you enjoy it. I adored this idea. feel free to send me as many as request as you want. :) @dinonuggie113 also tw for anyone whoâs not comfy with violence or physical confrontation.
Hannibalâs reaction to someone hitting his s/o. Very no bueno.
listen, when hannibal loves, he loves hard. and bestie? look away because things are about to go to from 0 to 100 real quick. this man does not play when it comes to you. tbh, you might feel bad for the person considering theyâre about to get the ass whopping from hell. itâs literally over for them bb. theyâve basically never existed once hannibal is done with them.
but once he has a little... talk with your perpetrator - oh honey! itâs all cuddle time. your relationship is literally mean one soft for nice one. but he lets his actions do all the talking, gentle carcasses to make sure his honey is all right and once he realizes you are? doesnât matter. heâs gonna be more protective than he ever was. best believe THAT. and I mean sure... it can get annoying, but hey! you never have to feel afraid of getting jumped bc youâve got your own person body guard-cannibal to protect you. so is it really that bad?
from then on, if anyone does such a thing as even look at you wrong? m u r d e r. "hannibal dear, whatâs with all that noise down there?" - "nothing sweetie :) just taking care of a problem" itâs best if you just ignore it tbh.

This is for @harunosakuraweek, Day One, Prompt: HanamiÂ
Sakura rubbed her eyes and fought to focus on the words in front of her. Sheâd spent the entire day in her office, trying to catch up on paperwork that should have been completed days if not weeks ago. She could never find never enough time to finish everything, especially when she saw patients during the day.Â
Blinking away the bleariness, Sakura returned to the row of numbers that indicated shinobi fatalities over the past month. She compared it to the previous monthâs tally, then studied the past six months as a whole. There had been an uptick in deaths the previous two months, possibly attributable to the change to spring. However, the annual view showed an upward trend as well, and that couldnât be attributed to the weather. There had to be extenuating factors. Maybe it was tied to the rise in the immigrant populationâÂ
A knock at the door pulled Sakuraâs attention from her work. She growled and tossed the report onto her desk with a clatter. When she called out, she didnât even try to moderate her tone. âYes?âÂ
A familiar grey head peeked around the door, then Kakashi stepped through. His eyes creased into his ever present eye smile. âSo, you are still alive down here after all.âÂ
âYes, and Iâm busy,â Sakura snipped, her annoyance with paperwork bleeding through at the first person sheâd seen all day. âIs there something I can help you with?âÂ
Kakashi closed the door behind him before crossing the office. He nodded. âAs a matter of fact, there is.âÂ
When the man didnât continue, Sakura raised one eyebrow in his direction. âDid I mention that I was busy?âÂ
âYou did.â Kakashi rested one hip against the edge of Sakuraâs desk, crossing his arms over his chest. âBut, itâs going to have to wait. Official order of the Hokage, Iâm afraid.âÂ
Sakura tapped her pen against the palm of her opposite hand and narrowed her eyes. âKakashi, I donât have time for one of your games today. This paperwork needed done weeks ago, and Iâ
âAnd, youâve been locked in here all day. You need to get out,â Kakashi finished. He leveled his gaze at Sakura. âYou still have to eat, donât you? And, all of this will still be here when you get back.Â
âIâll order takeout,â Sakura countered, turning her attention back to her paperwork.Â
Kakashi plucked the report from Sakuraâs hands. âIâm afraid not.â He lifted the pages out of Sakuraâs reach when she shot to her feet. âIâm serious. This is for your own good.âÂ
Growling, Sakura launched herself toward Kakashi, but he danced out of reach. After three unsuccessful attempts, she huffed and glared up at his smug expression. âIf I agree to dinner, will you let me get back to work after?âÂ
âIf you still want to, yes.â Kakashi lowered the report, leaving himself wide open to Sakuraâs fist. She didnât put any chakra behind the punch; she used just enough force to remind him that she could have. The air whooshing out of the manâs lungs was more pleasant than sheâd anticipated.Â
âDonât manipulate me again,â Sakura warned, taking the pages back from Kakashiâs hand. She set the report back on her desk and shook her head. She knew a losing battle when she saw one. She turned to Kakashi who still hadnât spoken and raised one hand to his shoulder. âToo hard?âÂ
The man shook his head, letting a tentative breath. When it didnât hurt, Kakashi nodded. âOkay, point taken. Are you ready to go?âÂ
Sighing, Sakura flipped off the light on her desk and gave her work one last glance before turning away. She followed Kakashi out of the hospital and down the street. They passed Ichiraku, Sakuraâs favorite sushi restaurant, the Korean BBQ, then the Chinese place that theyâd been meaning to try. When they continued past Kakashiâs apartment, Sakura frowned. âWhere exactly are you taking me?âÂ
âDo you trust me?â Kakashi didnât turn back or wait for Sakuraâs answer; he already knew it. Theyâd been dating for a few months now, so it wasnât completely unusual for him to surprise her with things like this, but it was rare.Â
The pair cut through the village, moving between buildings until Sakura began to wonder if Kakashi had lost his mind. There were no restaurants this way. When Kakashi stopped, Sakura almost ran into his back. She opened her mouth to complain, then stopped short at the scene before them.Â
The last time that Sakura had walked past this park, it had been a drab expanse of green and brown with the occasional splash of. It had erupted in shades of pink and white that swayed on every breeze. Dozens of people filled the space, colorful blankets spread over the scant spring grass. Sakura gazed around in wonder before turning back to face Kakashi.Â
âI didnât want you to miss it,â the man offered by way of explanation. âYouâve been so busy lately, I didnât think youâd noticed.âÂ
Kakashi led Sakura through the crowd, wading deeper into the sea of blossoms. He paused near the largest tree where a red and white blanket covered the ground. A heavy basket held the fabric in place. Sakuraâs eyebrows crept upward again. âHow did you manage all of this?âÂ
âBeing Hokage has some perks.â Kakashi eye smiled again then settled on the blanket. He offered one hand as if Sakura werenât perfectly capable of joining him. She took it anyway, feeling a flush of warmth course through her. Kakashi held her hand for a moment, then released it. âHonestly, Shikamaru did most of this, but the thought was mine.â
âThatâs what counts,â Sakura said, finally realizing how special the day really was. She had been so busy with work that sheâd almost missed her chance to see their cherry blossoms at their peak. She gazed up at the tree above them; the soft petals of pink and white scented the air. So much beauty would be wiped away in just a few days. It seemed like such a waste, but at the same time, she knew that she wouldnât appreciate them if they were always available. For one week, they would exist in perfection, then they would disappear as if theyâd never been.Â
Exhaling, Sakura turned to find Kakashi watching her with a tender expression. A flush crept up her cheeks. âThank you for this.âÂ
âMaa.â Kakashi waved away the sentiment and began digging food and drinks out of the picnic basket. âI know how much you enjoy the flower viewing, but you were so caught up in work. I thought it might be a nice surprise.âÂ
Sakura nodded, unable to hide the color on her face. She imagined that she must look something like the flowers overhead in the various stages of pink and could only hope that Kakashi didnât notice. Reaching out, she helped him remove containers of their favorite foods without speaking. Sakura hoped that her actions conveyed her appreciation in a way that words couldnât.Â
For a few minutes, Sakura felt every eye drawn to them. While she and Kakashi hadnât been secretive about their relationship, they didnât openly advertise it either. This was a big step for Kakashi, to put their lives so much in the public eye. The flower viewing was always crowded, but after a few minutes people went back to their own conversations. Sakura felt the tension bleed out of her shoulders.Â
âThanks again,â Sakura murmured, leaning close enough to pitch the words for Kakashiâs ears alone. He turned the answer, and there was surprise in his eyes at how close they were. She closed the distance to meet his mouth in a kiss through the mask. âI love you.â Â
Kakashi tipped his head to the side, seeming to savor the closeness of the moment, then he smiled and brushed a strand of pink hair behind Sakuraâs ear. âSo, do you think you can hold off on returning to work for the rest of the night?âÂ
Sakura leaned into the touch, and smiled. âI suppose you made a convincing argument, this time.âÂ
The team fall through their office door, exhausted. Isaac, who spent the journey back driving rather than resting, collapsed onto the red couch. Nasira and Zak pick their way through the mess into the kitchen. Arthur and Max stand at the doorway.
The boy looked up at his father with bleary eyes, he had his arms stretched and his fingers flexing and unflexing in a grabbing motion.
Arthur rolled his eyes with a fond smile before bending down and picking the boy up. They made their way up the stairs. Nasira looked up at them and frowned, Arthur noticed and switched his grasp on Max to his left.
By the time they got to Maxâs bed, the boy had already fallen asleep into the nook of Arthurâs neck. The father puts his son down gently, covers him with the comforter and kisses the top of his head before leaving.
He gets back down and Nasira and Zak sit on the floor, as their chairs had been snapped and Isaac was snoring on their sofa. Their voices were almost whispers as they talked, both with sandwiches and snacks. Arthur makes his way to sit on his office chair, which was thankfully still in one piece. The two looked up at him, smiles on their face.
Arthur sighs, it felt like he had a million things to say to them, but one stood out in his mind.
âThank you.â
Zakâs eyes closed as he grinned, âWell, we still need our boss to get paid after all.â
âToo right.â Nasira had an eyebrow raised as she smiled.
Then she shifts and a frown forms on her face.
âBut what are we going to do, with everything we know now?â
Arthur exhales softly as Zak tenses.
âYou mean about the mutant stuff or the being experimented on stuff?â
âJust...â Nasira shakes her head, â...all of it.â she sighs.
Arthur frowns as he turns to Zak, âDo you remember being tested on? Why didnât you tell us?â
Zakâs mouth twists into a grimace, âI donât, but it must have happened, right? Because it happened to you and Max.â
âWhat do you remember?â Nasira asks.
â.... My parents, t-they always treated me like I was different. I never understood why. Then one day they decided to...â His face is pinched with pain as he trails off.
âI c-canât...â he shivers and sobs. Then he feels an arm wrap around him and he looks up to find Arthur on the floor beside him pulling him towards the leader. Nasira is on the other side, her head casually resting on him and he feels the frames of her glasses on his shoulder. He stops shivering and leans into the touch, slowing his breathing and wiping the tears from his eyes.
âWeâll figure it out,â Arthurâs eyes look ahead, his tone resolute. âWeâll find out what happened to you.â
Zak lifts his head, takes air into his lungs and breathes out slowly.
âOkay.â
Suddenly, there was a harsh knock at the door.
The three jolt then share a look of fear and confusion. They spot Isaac waking and getting up from the sofa. He frowns at the door, then moves toward it. Arthur gets up to follow him as the other two stand and wait from where they were. Isaac opens it and a blond woman with mauve lipstick and a purple formal dress stands at the door.
âYou...â Isaac snarls.
The woman pushes past the two men and stand in the middle of the lounge.
âLook at the state of this office...â she murmurs to herself.
Isaac follows her in, eyes blazing with fury.
âWe had a deal!â he yells out.
The woman looks back at him, her lips pursed.
âThings have changed.â she states simply.
Arthur looks between the two and puts 2+2 together.
âYouâre...â
The woman looks back at him with a painted smile.
âAngela Crawford, deputy mayor. Your friend here has been giving me plenty of information about you and your agency.â
Isaacâs gaze drops to the ground, Arthur glances at him then looks back toward the woman.
âHe told me. What changed?â
âWell, we had a new priority. Youâre not the only ones in this town.â
Nasira steps forwards, âSo you lied.â
âThere was a change in priorities.â
âWhat happened?â Zak asks.
âClassified. Though because it concerns you, I will say that it involves others like your leader.â
Zakâs eyes widened, âW-what?â
âWhat do you mean by that?â Arthur demands.
âIâm sure whatever youâre thinking is probably accurate. Anyway, I just came to check if you were all still alive and that seems to be the case. Have a nice day.â
She turns to leave; Isaac moves to stop her but Arthur puts a hand on his shoulder.
âDonât bother, she wonât say anything if she doesnât want to.â
They watch her go. Nasira snorts once she left.
âThis town absolutely does not have a deputy mayor.â
Isaac sighs, âI thought that too. But she did bring me to her office in the town hall.â
Zak nudges Nasira, âIf you thought that then why didnât you ask her?â
âSo she can decide I know too much and send hitmen my way? No thanks.â
Isaac rolled his eyes, âI donât think sheâs part of the mob, Nasira.â
âYou never know.â
âI think sheâs a spy.â Zak guesses.
âThatâs dumber than my mafia idea.â
âSo you admit that itâs dumb.â
Arthur listens to the team bicker for a while as he stares out of the window beside him. Isaac spots him and walks over.
âArthur, Iâm so sorry for lying to you.â
Arthur meets his gaze and smiles, âItâs okay, you forgave me after all.â
âI still wish it never happened.â
âI thought the same but if it didnât, I never would have found out the truth. And we found out together, like you promised.â
âStill- â
âIsaac, you did it to protect me and Max....and inadvertently Zak too.â Arthur shrugs his shoulders. âYouâre my best friend, my partner, I donât want anything other than for you to stay by my side.â
Isaac lets out a sigh of relief, âArthur, thereâs nothing Iâd want more- â
Heâs interrupted by snorts and giggles, the two of them turn to follow the noise coming from the younger teammates.
Zak grins at Arthur, âYou about to get down on one knee?â
Nasira puts a hand over her mouth as she laughs, âIsaac, please, think of the children.â
âWhat children?!â
Nasira and Zak burst out into laughter again.
Arthur frowns, âYes, yes, very mature. Now if you two donât get the hell- â
âAlright, sheesh, weâre going.â
Nasira lets out another laugh as she makes her way to the door, âLetâs go, Zak. We might as well get some sleep.â
âI donât think theyâre planning on sleeping tonight.â Zak says quickly before dashing out of the room.
âZak!â Isaac yells, scandalized.
âRookie, I swear...â
The two younger teammates make their way up to their bedroom, laughing the whole way, leaving Isaac and Arthur alone.
Isaac shakes his head, âThose two...â
âLet them have their fun. They deserve it after everything thatâs happened. Iâm just glad itâs over.â
âOver? But what if you transform again? Or if the same thing happens to Max or Zak?â
Arthur looks back toward the window, âWeâd figure it out, right?â
