i think the most compelling thing about cloneshipping to me is the fact that nat-borns in universe would think its weird.

cody constantly adjusting the collar of his blacks to make sure its covering the marks he picked up on leave. fives trying to explain what echo meant to him, but he cant tell the truth, not to his jedi. jesse having to come up with an obvious lie when ahsoka asks why he hangs around the medbay so much. boil watching over an injured waxer and trying to play it off until general kenobi gives him a knowing look and his stomach drops.
