hi rookies ! 😁 i know im late, like a month or something... last year i wanted to do something rk5th year, but i had literally been in the rp for a week so i figured out it wouldn’t make too much sense... this year i pulled myself together and made something, it’s nothing much and i’m so sorry for that :(
i had lots of ideas, but i had to message the main,and every idea i came up with was very time consuming, and as much as i don’t mind spending time on rookies i really wanted to get something out soon! haha. i had the idea of finding quotes for every muse that reminded me of them (which i actually got done for a few muses), but i realized in order to do this, for every muse i don’t know i had to read their bio, multiple solos and threads, and after having done that with like three muses i gave up... i then got the idea of finding quotes from every muse but that was also too much work for me right now, so then i got to my current idea!!!

beatboxing was definitely something that gray had been always interested in, but wasn't the most talented with. during his years as kt trainee, he had worked on that skill a bit, but in the end, he had focused his practice on other skillsets which was why he was just a mediocore, if not even a amateur beatboxer. so after hearing about a workshop that would give tips to beginners, he wanted to grasp on the opportunity and take his chance to learn more about it. gray was here to become a better, a modified version of himself and working on himself constantly was part of this process.
with big interest, he listened to the instructor and took notes of what have been said. gray was actually not the theoretical type, he was more into putting what he heard into practice immediately and try to do it at once. learning by doing, that was exactly what he usually acted on. but at the moment, he just thought that notes might come handy later, when he was to practice on his own again. the instructors gave them a few training tasks, and walked around giving out tips for every individual. he looked around and listened here and there, before he heard a tall male closeby producing clear and precise beatbox sounds. "hello, excuse me. you are really good at that. do you mind if i stand next to you and listen to more of your beatboxing?"
mina used to never be much of a people person. perhaps it was because of the mindset she forced herself to be in, but back then, the thought of having people connect with her sounded almost impossible. animals, on the other hand, were the only things that she would let become her friends under no circumstances. all that matters is that they did not want to kill her and that they were adorable (her definition of adorable in terms of animals is literally anything but bugs).
she’s obviously changed since then. nowadays, she likes talking to lots of people because it helps her from not feeling so lonely all the time. but even if she likes talking to people a little more now, there is no denying that she’ll always prefer animals better. whenever she wants to not focus on her schoolwork, she’ll distract herself with either her favorite youtubers or the instagram accounts with the cute cats, dogs, hedgehogs, otters, etc. there’s no denying that sh has a weakness and it’s obviously that.
so it’s no surprise to have her looking in absolute awe at two adorable dogs walking down the sidewalk. she couldn’t help but just stand and stare at those cuties. the longer she looked at them, the more she fell in love with them. honestly, if she were to look at herself staring at them right now, she’d probably force herself to snap out of it. but she isn’t doing that... not yet, anyway.

at first, he isn’t sure if it’s really him. he only catches a glimpse of him from the corner of his eye, but as his curiosity leads him closer, footsteps not too far behind, he’s able to confirm that it is who he thought it was. it had been a while since he’d last seen dongyoon in person, and he supposes a large part of that is the fact that he’s still terrible at keeping up with people, but even with that being said, he still wonders how the other has been, and what he’s been doing during all that time.
as he approaches even closer in order to try and grab the other male’s attention, he notices a bracelet dangling off of his wrist that looks strangely familiar, and he realizes that he's wearing the exact same one---or, at least, something very similar. snorting to himself, he finally calls out for his old friend in a more unconventional manner, cheeky grin on his face. “haven’t seen each other in weeks and you’re trying to steal my style?” he asks, just loud enough to catch the other’s attention, holding his wrist up to show off his matching bracelet as he chuckles. “or are you trying to have a couples item with me?”
it’s unclear what he actually desires more: space or quiet. certainly sungho wants both whenever he retreats from the main crowd of kt trainees, but if he had to pick only one... well, he supposes that the practice rooms are never truly quiet. he’ll have to choose space, if he’s ever faced with such a life or death decision to make.
in his quest for said space (and quiet), he ventures off to one of the less used practice rooms. it’s stuffy in this part of the building, unbearable in the summer months when there’s too many bodies warming up the space, and there’s a spiderweb crack distorting one of the mirrors. it’s no one’s first choice when it comes to a practice space, but it’s away from everyone else and it’s no louder than any other empty practice room.
sungho opens the door, prepared to find the room dark and empty as ever. he’s surprised by the lights being on, and before he can wonder who forgot to turn them off he sees the young man. he’s angry at first, even irrationally so; someone has appropriated his space, even if it doesn’t technically belong to him in the first place.
he recognizes the other trainee by face only, sungho can’t recall ever speaking to him before. but that doesn’t stop him from cutting through the silence with a sharp, unfriendly “hey,” followed up with a classic “what are you doing here?” accusation laces his tone, nothing friendly in his words or stance.
Seulgi’s having a good time at this video game expo, it was something different to do, the atmosphere was electric, which she supposes makes sense where they’re electronic games. She and her brother used to play games a lot growing up, but mostly things like Mario Kart or Mario World, okay so they played a lot of Mario games. Things were a bit more advanced now than those older games, though as far as she knew, they still made Mario games.
Right at this moment, she was checking out the FIFA 20 display. She knew that if she played it, she’d likely get her butt kicked more than the people on the screen were kicking the ball. She was getting into it though, almost like it was a real soccer game. She claps a bit at a great slide tackle by one of the teams and she grins, looking for anyone she could talk to, noticing a guy there watching too. “Are you rooting for one team over the other?” she asks, just trying to start up a conversation. “I think my brother has that red jersey back home.”
