After a long and quite miserable trek through Noctilum, you stopped at a clearing to rest or the night. Thanks to the multiple battles you’d ended up fighting, you hadn’t made it to the basecamp before sundown. You made a fire while H.B dug through his bag for rations.
After that, you were both ready to sleep. You huddled together, very much appreciating each other’s warmth. You put your head on his shoulder as he pulled you closer. He put his head on top of yours.
You both silently stared at the fire and listened to its crackle.
You’d gotten in the habit of doing this everytime you went on a mission together. Neither of you were willing to do this in the city quite yet, but when you weren’t, you took every opportunity to hang out.
