Do you support Kayn x Akali now that its canon??
You know what, anon? I’d been planning on ignoring the asks I’d gotten about this, but since you phrased it this way, I’ll humor you.
My own preferences and the preferences of others aside, THEY 👏 ARE 👏 NOT 👏 CANON 👏 Akali literally calls him hot, but crazy, and that’s IT. Not all of the ship supporters believe its canon, but some do because of that sole interaction. Coupled with exposure because of fanart and social media, it’s been blown out of proportion IMO.
And even if Kayn/Akali was canon, what’s stopping people from shipping what they want? Though it’s since changed, at one point, Ez/Lux was speculated canon and you didn’t see anyone refusing to ship either with other characters.
If you don’t see me talking about a ship or posting about its content, then assume it’s not in my preferences. I could go on and on about my personal opinion about the ship and what my preferences are, but to do so would be disrespectful to the people who do enjoy that ship. I don’t want a pairing, popular or not, shoved down my throat as much as the next person, but I don’t have to be as openly opinionated about it as some of the other users on here. This is why I don’t like asks like this in the first place, because it’s trying to provoke that sort of reaction.
Miss me with your instigating questions, anon. If you want my actual opinion about Kayn/Akali, DM me directly. But in the meantime, I’ll keep shipping what I want, even if it isn’t canon. The thing about writing is, even if I’m writing as fanwork, it can still transcend a completely superficial voice line and tell a complete story, whether individuals choose to support its content or not.

Candy does mention that Castiel was the first person to ever love her and they might’ve still been together had they not been so far apart
She also says that Castiel wasn’t that upset when they broke up and she assumes it was because of his band doing well which overtook the relationship - which she also then states she hadn’t realised was so popular, and expresses later surprise that they tour a lot (will arrive on campus in a month) and that its a huge event for the university. They also split due to distance, but that’s a handwavey excuse.
So she basically hadn’t taken notice of his work. Candy literally states she didn’t think Castiel would get that far.
