Hi, my irish friend said Jensen and Misha are 'America famous' and Jared is 'everywhere famous' because apparently House of wax and Gilmore girls are very well known over there? She also said Jensen 'looks too american' and Jareds 'polish forehead' was made for cinema. Would being 'everywhere famous' be just an added bonus to an actor or is it something that actually helps them? Also is 'looking american' a thing in the industry? lol. Im not saying she makes sense but i had to ask lol
I wouldnât even call Misha âMerica famous, maybe your friend meant that heâs just known in America unlike the A-listers that can pull in international box office receipts. Iâm not sure Jared can be called âeverywhere famousâ unless I underestimated Gilmore Girlsâs reach as he wasnât one of the leads. Horror genre donât tend to raise actorsâ profiles.
But your friendâs comment has a grain of truth.
Small foreheads are not considered desireable in actors and other public figures. During the golden age of Hollywood it was remarkable how all the starlets had higher than average hairlines.
This was probably a holdover from European Renaissance idealized view of beauty and women would pluck their hairlines to get high foreheads.Â
That standard is still seen today
And it seem to show up in male A-listers
A big round or squarish hairline give off a youthful appearance. Â Brad Pitt has the ideal hairline, big forehead but balance out by the rest of his features (cheekbones and jawlines). Â Just because your forehead is big doesnât mean its receeding and people with small forehead can have receding hair (Jude Law).
A small forehead gives off a more aggressive look. Â
I think Americaâs beauty standard is more proportional forehead, nose, mouth and eyes, genes that Jensen excels at. According to Huffington Post this is our idealized beauty standard.
Why don't you post a picture of YOUR forehead?
No.
I wasn't the one who brought up Doohan and Ortegas' fiveheads yesterday, so stop bitching/whining.
Also, the state of the poll isn't my fault either
19 votes are pretty much mostly for the Mogwai. I guess no one's seen Doohan's since he hides it so well with his bangs.
