Walk!
I have not really worked out consistently all year. I fell down on that. My friend who got me off the couch 5 years ago has changed her goals and was doing a lot of CrossFit weekends and my other friend who used to walk/run with me is in a messy divorce. I’ve been left to my own devices and without a partner in crime I’ve become sedentary.
I have the Princess 5K in Disney at the end of February and I’m desperate to be able to do the whole thing. At the Disney 5K they don’t sweep you, but they do shut down areas of the walk so you don’t do 3.1 miles, you might only walk 2.4... like that. I want to walk the whole walk.
Today a friend of mine out of the blue invited me to walk and we did two miles. I was a little wheezy on the hill but I didn’t need to rest or stop and I’m surprised that I did so well!!
I know I can do this, I just need to pick it up. I have 6 weeks. I can do this!
