@thalassarche it wasn't too bad, just weirdly uncomfortable and too uncoordinated to pinpoint. Like two folks were trying this weird joke hype up of me specifically for some reason, and then someone else went in and tried to spin it into a weird drunken revelry/one night stand narrative, it was like..... /almost/ all in good fun but it missed its mark. I kind of wish I screencap'd it, or at least, remembered at the time to block everyone @fishmad122 they're both operating for some greater good, except unlike a lot of characters who embody that trait, they don't see themselves as inherently good; they're extremely self-conscious about living up to their own ideals of what 'good' means, and they know exactly where they could've, or would've faltered under slightly different circumstances. I haven't read Witches Abroad in a while, and I really should b/c it's also one of my favorites, but the idea that Wheatherwax could've actually lived out the Evil Witch role EXCEPT that's not What Needed To Be Done really struck me. They're lawful good characters that refused to be bound to the limitations of a flawed law. @quietserval horror is the best when it's unsettling in a fun way!!!! Creepy shit man!!!!!! Dread and unease and being freaked the fuck out!!!!!!! Yeah!!!!!!!!!!! Also @floralmarsupial you're good pal, whenever I'm not comfortable with a reblog I try & make it super obvious. Also, I'm hilarious.

well yeah the concept of truth is definitely abstract, so i was referring from a fiction point of view! i doubt there’d ever be a real life version of a truth spell which is why it would be interesting to imagine how being unable to stop saying the truth even about stuff you didn’t even know about before would be very interesting! though it could be also interesting if somehow we were able to tell stuff that’s in our DNA but that’s a whole ‘nother level (i saw the movie lucy recently and it had an interesting theory about existence itself)

that’s also why i asked about truth spell tiers at the end of the post ;) because! there COULD be ‘weak’ ones where people don’t tell the absolute truth, and other specific types, like emotionally based truths or objectively based truths. i’m a sucker for magical things that come in tiers _(:3
