Working on a Red, White & Royal Blue ficlet right now that sneaked up on me.

First Line

Alex took three deep breaths and then knocked on the door before he could chicken out of it.

Last Line

Henry hummed and cleared his throat, blushing again, and Alex was glad the timer went off just then.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that frat parties are a good place to hook up with random strangers. Alex just hadn't expected a literal angel trying to pick him up.

Hey anon! I'm not sure I have that much to add because you've laid it all out perfectly. If we're correct and Alex is trying to cheer up Henry by being a cretin again, then I think it makes sense for Henry to react "exaggeratedly" too, sort of reassuring Alex that his mood has indeed been lifted (shifted into annoyance ;D) and that Henry will not be left moping once Alex leaves but just be fondly rolling his eyes.

As others have said, the scene didn't really fit in at the point where it would have had to and the transition in the movie works much better. Nevertheless, we all naturally want ALL the deleted scenes anyway.

As for the worried Twitter anons ... I get their concern and of course it's nice that they're worried about the actors but really, they've had to do so much more intimate stuff that I can't see Nick having any problem in such a scene with Taylor blowing that raspberry and being a goof. At most, if it wasn't scripted, he might have been annoyed at him for ruining a take but it seems they've goofed of a lot during shooting and I've seen some person saying how you actually have to goof off a little in super intimate scenes unless they do indeed become too intense.
