OL vs. BoMB - the first impression edition
I'll begin catching up tomorrow with the #jottings, and I think a skipped rewatch is needed. But here's the gist of how things look, here.

I was so annoyed by previous Iteration of this piece so recently I've decided to repaint it a bit
Elek finally started to look like himself and put on a little weight. Which are both a pretty good things!
And I finally found my precious smoke brushes🙏
And, giving in to that mood, I returned once again to this Lemony's portraits
It's still kinda hard to capture and convey their character, but I really like how their observers' eyes turned out
They looks so hollow and absent-minded, and that's exactly what I was going for. It's all truly just a minor thing but so much pressure was lifted from my shoulders😁
First impression of Arirang as in I’ve only listened to the album once:
The autotune is throwing me off. I mean, BTS can sing. Why so much autotune? I want to see and hear how the songs sound live. I think they will sound so much better without autotune.
The first half of the album sounds like fun crazy dance party and the latter half sounds more moody and atmospheric.
Do I like it? Yes. There are some songs that catch and hold my attention and sound like bangers or cool mood pieces. Do I love it? Well, it feels like an album I will grow to love after multiple listens.
Please don’t kill me. It’s just my first impression. And I haven’t dived into the lyrics yet.
Well, it wasn't easy.

poll: have you ever met somebody that seemed to hate you for no reason?
Thanks for the poll request, anonymous! Keep 'em coming, folks.
Have you ever met somebody that seemed to hate you for no reason?
Yes, a lot of people
Yes, a few people
Yes, one person
No, although I've met people who have hated me for a specific reason
No, I've never met anyone who seemed to hate me (that I know of)
Mandalorian and Grogu spoiler! Do not read if you consider watching.
I'm fuming. What did the New Republic do on Nal Hutta??! What did they even do in Hutt Space??! They effectively invaded the Hutt homeplanet deep in Hutt Space and no one stopped them. Not to mention that they razed some of it. And they should be the good guys? If the people writing Star Wars nowadays would be sane, this would be a call to arms to the Hutts...
I am kinda done with the new Star Wars using the "fleet" as a deus ex machina...
My first impression of Code Lyoko:
I have only watched the first three episodes but I think the story is fascinating.
The first episode was so confusing to me, because I was faced with some matrix-like virtual reality that somehow interacts with the physical world, artificial intelligence (the cool kind, not machine learning) AND time travel!? Also a lot of characters, but after the second episode I started to understand the expected structure of the episodes and the relationship between each character.
The animation, specifically the 3D does feel kind of weird but since we're talking about a 2004 show I'm not complaining. I do wish I could find where to watch it in french because I'm not a fan of many of the english voices up until now, though I read they wanted the voice actors to "copy" the french voices so that might be the issue I have (?). However I think I'm slowly getting used to them.
And, not really a first impression, but I find it funny that the P.E teacher is named Jim and at first I thought they were calling him that because he was the Gym teacher. Also this show is really adding to my dream of having an abandoned factory.
Anyways. I think this has the potential to become an intense interest for me since I get that "nice overload" feeling I get with shows I consider my special interests. Not really a surprise since I think it has similarities to several of them (similar looking characters, similar topics and themes.)
* This is the first time I'm doing a "first impression" for one of the shows I watch but plan on doing it from now on.
