Name: Houtaru "The Hot Shot" Shoutu

Specialist Type: Fire

Houtaru is an eager trainer hungry to prove himself. Have started from humble beginnings in the small town of Pallet Town with his partner Charmander, Houtaru journeyed across the Kanto and Johto regions to defeat all of their gyms and beat the Pokémon League. Sure, he's had a few losses along the way, but every time he's bounced back stronger than ever. He's now taken a detour from his conquest of the Hoenn Pokémon League to take part in the Pokémon World Tournament on Akkadios.

Houtaru's always had an affinity for the fire type, something made obvious by his chosen starter Charmander, so it's no wonder its his chosen type for the Specialist Division. Having trained his Charmander to the point of being a phenomenal Charizard, his powerful ace is bolstered by the likes of nimble Rapidash, the determined Pyroar, the intense Volcarona, the destructive Camerupt and heavily armed Armarouge.

But where Houtaru's team really comes together is his free-for-all team. Built on Pokémon he's met across Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and the Sevii Islands, this team's strength isn't just in their sheer power, but their bond with Houtaru and dedication to each other. This is exemplified by Houtaru's Lucario, who serves as a role model for his Salamence, Lokix, Luxray, and a very unusual looking Sceptile who people swear looks just like her trainer.

Quick Update on the Kittle Line! It's messy as heck, and some elements definitely need tightening up, but it just a relief to push through the block on this one. ^^'

The idea of the progression is that they look increasingly "burnt", as their fire grows stronger, symbolized by the bright accents (blue in default, yellow in shiny). More conceptual rambles under the cut!
