June 4th // Oasis Springs // 11:50 AM - Disconcerting Pt. 2

Aspen couldn’t get Nathaniel’s behavior off of her mind so the next day she called Melissa and declared a CODE RED. This code was seldom used in their friendship and only when something had happened and they needed one another. 

“Am I being paranoid?” Aspen asked frustrated at the situation. Melissa eyed her and with a deep sigh gave Aspen her honest opinion.

“I don’t think you are being paranoid. Nathaniel sometimes comes to the hopsital to do therapy with the patients...and he has a reputation with the nurses,” she said with a heavy sigh.

Aspen felt her adrenaline start to pump. “What kind of reputation?” she probed. Melissa rubbed the back of her neck clearly trying to figure out what to say.

“He treats girls more like objects than people, okay. It’s horrible but he is also one of the top psychical therapists out there.”

“So what the hell am I supposed to do? Cancel my appointments? The insurance plan Oliver and I are on has already paid for 3 months of physical therapy. If I change physical therapists Oliver and I could have to pay two times more than what we are already paying,” Aspen grabbed her head in frustration and let out a groan. 

“I think you should tell Oliver so he can go with you to the appointments,” Melissa said as she crossed her legs as she continued to keep a level head about the situation.

Aspen’s lower lip threatened to tremble. “I’m already asking so much from him. He is working so much and then to ask him to escort me places is just too much.” 

“Well, what are you going to do then? I gave you my two cents,” Melissa asked curious as to how her friend was going to handle the situation. 

“I have physical therapy at the local gym next week. I’ll go and if he he does anything to put me on edge I’m going to cancel all of the remaining appointments.”

May 30th // Oasis Springs // 1:15 AM - The Next Step Pt. 3

Aspen and Oliver stumbled in the door after midnight both a little tipsy from the amount of wine served at Mel and Grant’s small get together. It was a small and intimate ceremony that Aspen thought perfectly reflected her best friend and her husband. 

During the party everyone kept asking her when Oliver was going to ask for her hand in marriage and her answer was always the same, “Go ask him.” Little did she know that the ceremony helped Oliver finally cement his decision to finally ask Aspen to marry him. 

When they got home he ran her a warm bath and he changed clothes in an effort to sober up. When Aspen came out of the bathroom and into their bedroom he instantly dropped down onto one knee. Aspen looked confused until he started talking.

“Four years ago I met the most beautiful girl in the world. She was training to become a professional diver while being a full time student. She was and still is the strongest, most beautiful, soulful, and loving person I have ever met.” Oliver stopped for a moment his voice slightly shaking.

“Aspen, I knew from the moment I laid eyes on you that you were someone I needed in my life. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that we were going to fall in love, buy a house together, discuss having a family, or face MS together. Here we are though. Every challenge we have faced has brought us closer together and no matter what happenes in this world I want you to go to sleep everynight knowing that I love you. So, Aspen Elise Hopkins, will you marry me?” With that, Oliver opened the small box containing the engagement ring he had been caring around for two months. 

Hello loves! Everyday when I come on to Simblr I am both shocked and amazed at the beautiful stories, sims, cc, and so much more being showcased. As many of you know, I am currently working on my story Finding Aspen. Finding Aspen is a story focused on chronic illness/invisible illness. The idea behind the story is to show the impact of being sick and how it can change a person, their life, and their relationships. However, I would love to have more townies that I feel a connection with in my game. If you would like to create a family, a couple, or just one person to be in my game that would be amazing. My goal at the end of the day is to feature more creators on this platform and to hopefully get a message across about chronic illness. Please do not feel pressured to do this but I personally think that it is an amazing way to have us all interact more.
