I loved all the youth and adults attitudes and how the new members weren’t shy. They were open to talking to the senators and representatives. This trip was very emotional for me, but I have learned so much that will help me in my day to day life. I made so many connections and learned about the youth and had much in common with many of them. It was really cool going to the capital and sharing my story to so many people who listened and were caring.I felt this trip has moved me to do more for the youth in care and to help as much as possible. This trip has helped me realize so much. I’ve learned so much about the people I was surrounded by and the environment I learned some of my rights as a foster youth that I never knew about. I have learned more about my story and how the system works. I’m so grateful that I got the opportunity to go to Juneau.
