This is one of the funniest Final Fantasy scenes.
From Fantastic Four Annual #1, September 1963. Stan Lee script, Jack Kirby pencils & inks, Stan Goldberg colors, Ray Holloway letters.
Info from Grand Comics Database

I think Larsa is Vayne's son, not brother.
Vayne would have been 15 when Larsa was born, so perfectly possible with regards to age.
Vayne having a child would have been scandalous and covered up, Larsa would have effectively been adopted by his grandparents.
This is why Vayne loves his "little brother" so much more than anything or anyone else. Larsa is a threat just for existing and yet he gives Larsa a powerful protector.
Vayne is a man that would, and did, kill his siblings. Vayne is a man that killed his father (who was in on it but still).
Even when Larsa turned against Vayne, Vayne wanted nothing but Larsa's safety and didn't kill him (just knocked him out).

My favorite writer is whoever did the flavor text for Final Fantasy XII
[ID Scene from Final Fantasy XII with the characters next to a sword lodged in the ground. Game message reads "sword of legend. It appears to be an ordinary sword of legend"]
Imperial City of Archades | Final Fantasy XII (x) (Sketchbook)
(Warning: Final Fantasy XII spoilers below)
The moment when Vaan tells Basch, the man who the former wrongly thought killed his brother for years up to 1 day ago: "My brother trusted you. And he was right" lives rent free in my mind.
It's about this bratty, angry and childish teenager turning out to be able to let go of grudges easily, and about a tragic figure being redeemed and introduced in a new light.
