I know what you mean. Kveikur is really awesome and everything, but it doesn’t hit me as emotionally as Valtari does. So many songs on that album make me cry
Definitely, ah. And to give a little Kveikur spiel, I fell in love with it at first (listened to it for six hours the first day, actually, and I LOVED it), but I almost immediately lost touch with it. It's just not as powerful as the other albums. And it's tough to admit it, but I think I got tired of it. It feels terrible saying I got annoyed/tired of Sigur RĂłs songs, but I think it's the truth. Kveikur just isn't as powerful to me as their other albums, ahhh. Almost none of their other songs have ever gotten old for me, or made me want to stop listening, but almost every single one on Kveikur has. Buh. And Valtari has been the polar opposite. No complaining, though, because I love that every album is so unique.Â
