We have a collection on AO3  where people are welcome to include any festive themed Hannibal/Hannigram/Hannibal Extended Universe/etc omegaverse works.

These can be set at Christmas, New Year, Hanukkah, Winter Solstice, any other winter celebration - or just be set in the winter and give the cosy seasonal feels!

When a new coffee shop opens across the street from his work, Adam is instantly intrigued. And that intrigue is most definitely held by the rich scent of alpha mixed with coffee and pastries. It isn’t long before he’s amending his schedule to include regular trips to see his new friend.

[Chapter One] [Chapter Two]

The coffee shop opened in the summer and Adam might not have noticed it if not for two things - firstly that it was just across the street from where he worked. And secondly, it had an unusual name.

Puns could be a little hit and miss for him, but he knew New York had its fair share of independent establishments that had, what Harlan called kooky names. Plays on words and joke names that Adam thought a lot of the time were sort of stupid. It seemed bad for business that you would name your establishment something that people might not understand. Especially if potential customers weren’t neurotypical, or perhaps were from overseas and didn’t understand that your pun meant you sold sandwiches. One time Harlan had wanted to get lunch from a grilled cheese truck called The Grillennium Falcon. It had taken him a little while to explain it to Adam, and he had seen Star Wars  - despite how grossly inaccurate the movie was. It wasn’t that he didn’t know what the Millennium Falcon was, he just didn’t know what it had to do with sandwiches!

That was why the name of the new coffee shop intrigued him - because he found it both factually accurate and… not.

Bucharest Blends had been open a month before Adam finally decided to make a small window in his lunchtime routine to take a visit. He stood in the small queue, fidgeting and anxious, but knowing that this was outweighed by his need to know.

When he finally got to the till point he was immediately distracted by the rich scent of the alpha behind the counter. Normally he wasn’t very keen on the smell of coffee, but mixed with the alpha’s musk, it was very enticing. The alpha’s scent was the strongest in the room and Adam couldn’t help but wonder if it meant he was nearing or had just had his annual rut. He thought about asking but, to save having to stay any longer than necessary, he kept to his plan.

“I don’t believe that any coffee or specialities teas are blended in Bucharest. Coffee beans are grown in very specific conditions and altitude, in subtropical regions with well defined wet and dry season. Teas are commonly-”

“Fascinating.” The alpha cut him off gruffly, an eyebrow raised as he glaced at the queue behind Adam as a young girl bustled behind the counter trying to serve the next person. “Look gorgeous are you going to buy something or are you just here to hold up my lunchtime queue? The coffee and tea aren’t Romanian but the pastries are if-”

“No thank you.” Adam replied quickly and turned on his heel. It had taken less time than anticipated to get the answer to his question and so he was happy to be able to return to schedule all the sooner.

“Are you supposed to be dressed up like Santa?” Will feigns indifference to his companion’s attempt at Christmas roleplay; red become his naughty, glistening eyes in a luscious, completely inappropriate way. “I find the Russian version, roughly translatable into Father Christmas, more fitting,” Hannibal comments, invitingly patting his spread legs with gloved hands.

Will complies.

“Have you been a good Omega?” Hannibal asks, guiding his hips on his own lap. “Oh, indeed I have. You, on the other hand,” Will makes himself comfortable on his bent knees, sliding his leather belt from his velvet trousers, “have been a terrible Alpha.”

Halloween and Wintermas Holiday season: We won’t be holding specific fests again for these this year. However we would love to invite anyone posting any A/B/O Halloween or seasonal fics to add them to our collections below (including fics from previous years you’ve already posted). This will help readers find things in AO3 all in one place and hopefully boost readership as a result! And of course, we will always be reblogging new content regardless!

Summer 2003 - First Day of Filming

Mads knew it was a cultural thing. It wasn’t like Denmark was backwards, not at all, but… omega rights, omega-lib, it was a very different thing than in the UK. Not that it made things any easier. His British costars didn’t seem in the least bit phased, but he had seen a raised brow on Skarsgård and some of the others from Northern Europe.

He knew that there were growing numbers of omegas all over the continent that were taking the lead from the UK and US and going without blockers. But he had never spent any significant time with any himself. And it was… distracting.

It didn’t help that the omega, who’s rich and sweet scent was heavy on the back of his tongue, was also the most beautiful man he had ever seen in his life. Ten years younger and full of youthful exuberance, Mads had been immediately drawn to Hugh… after recovering from that first day on set.

They hadn’t had chance to meet much before filming their first group scene and they’d ended up having to do several takes just because Mads couldn’t get it right. He cursed under his breath as he ruined another take, but everyone else seemed amused - including Hugh… through his blushing. They all understood immediately that he wasn’t accustomed to working with omega’s who didn’t block their scent, even the betas amongst them gave knowing smiles.

He was doing well in Denmark and had a couple of international movies under his belt, but this was his first English language film and potential blockbuster. This could change his entire career… or he could get replaced by a less distracted alpha on the second day of filming.

When the first day of filming ended Mads went to his room and showered for about three hours. Trying to get rid of any lingering scent in his nostrils.

On the second day of filming distracted went to aroused with one glance from the omega and Mads whimpered.

Important Note! You may have previously seen our announcement to host an A/B/O Festive event on our blog. We are still doing that!!! But based on the last two fests (#summertimeslick and #SpookyABO) we’ve decided to amend the structure of this one.

So what has changed? Pretty much just the dates, and here’s why - 

In the summer we ran a fun prompt fest which we loved, but for Halloween as there were plenty of prompt fests and such already happening we decided just to encourage new content (and the sharing of old content) with a general A/B/O Halloween theme. 

However, what we found was that because other prompts were running the whole month, posts were sort of all over the place. And as we reblog all A/B/O content within the Hannibal fandom (including related rarepairs etc) that we can find anyways, it was clear that we should have set our dates to line up with other fests. 

So as with SpookyABO we will continue to reblog your festive A/B/O content - with the tag #FestiveABO - and invite you to put it in the AO3 collection we’ll be opening. We hope this will encourage you to create new and share old content for the holidays in a way that will allow us to log it neatly in the library for the enjoyment of all our followers.

As such, #FestiveABO will now be running 1st - 31st December and we look forward to seeing anything you create whether solely for our fest or for other fests and prompts that fit our remit.

After the fun we had with #SummertimeSlick we had mentioned doing smaller events in future (as well as maybe another month long one next year). So here we are folks. Join us in the omegaverse this Halloween and during the festive period!
