Come questa “Carne secca di cervo gourmet – Superior Jerky”: il prodotto si ottiene da fesa di cervo tagliata artigianalmente in fette sottili, che vengono aromatizzate con spezie e affumicate con legno di faggio per 24 ore. Segue una stagionatura di 3-4 giorni al fine di garantirne morbidezza e gusto. Il sapore è selvatico e leggermente affumicato. Servono 135 g di carne fresca per ottenere 40 g di carne secca.
