My beloved room
Concealed within these four walls was a solace like no other,
A room which became my peaceful sanctuary,
A togetherness of ages has now come to a binding finality,
For who knows if we shall meet again,
What we shared, through all these years,
Something strange, yet marvellous to say the least,
For you were there to provide comfort,
When there was perhaps no one else,
You've seen the best of me,
And also the worst of me,
And yet you stood by me,
The secrets I've had, you've been a witness,
The prizes I've won, you've been an associate,
All those days and all those nights,
We spent together, even at times, without speaking to each other,
Will always remain a big part of me,
Wherever I go,
You will always be in my memory,
Thank you, my beloved room,
For making me fall in love with you,
If life permits, we shall meet again.
