I have this term, "the orphan orchard", that i use to refer to all the fruit bearing perrenials around where i live that people planted and no longer maintain or harvest from. Wild onions are widespread in Ohio where I call home. In early spring they have a light flavor and add sweetness when baked. My current favorite is adding it to homemade Naan bread.
