Is it normal to see the shape of hearts on your baby or am I just seeing them because her heart is constantly on my mind? I picked a piece of blanket fuzz off her hand the other day that was rolled into the shape of a heart. The heart shapes are everywhere. I'm so worried about her little heart, the surgery, what she will look like after, her being in pain, if her wonderful mannerisms will change. If only I could trade her places. I want to see heart shapes on her and think it's cute but my mind goes only to one place. CHD is making Icie her heart when Icie is the most purest form of love bundled into a tiny human. She is so much more than her heart defect but I'm sure when I see heart shaped sheet marks on her my mind will still go where it does. I had one last sonogram scheduled for 9am. The sonogram was routine. We found out Icie was in the 51% for growth and weighed around 7lbs 3oz. I asked if we could try to get one last 3d image of her face before seeing the real thing but she was facing towards my spine and was really low.  That was it for the sonogram. After the sonogram Carl and I headed to the midwife appointment that was scheduled at 9:30am. I was nervous about this appointment. I read that having a membrane sweep can hurt but I knew I wanted it done regardless of the pain. It was my last hope to go into labor naturally.  The midwife asked the normal questions and then got right down to business. I felt a little cramping while the sweep was being done but it was not painful at all. Thank god! She said some spotting is normal and hopefully this gets some stuff moving. That concluded the last midwife visit I would have. I got a few hugs from some of the nurses at the office along with some “good lucks” and that was it.

I wiped the windows clean today. Though no longer visible to the public they are forever ingrained in my heart.
