As I drink my coffee, one day before my induction date, I feel angry. I’m so mad that I am being forced to be induced at 40 weeks. Especially because the sweep has definitely done something. I have had cramps off and on, back pain, and also seem to be losing my mucus plug. I am pretty confident that if I was allowed to be left alone I would go in to labor naturally fairly soon.  I’m trying to look at this in a positive light but it's really difficult for me. I am excited to finally meet Icie but and worried the pitocin will stress her to much to the point of a c section. I feel like I have been lied to this entire time, by doctors, genetics, and midwives. No one can give me a real reason of why they want to induce me at 40 weeks except "it's because of her heart condition.” It doesn’t make sense. I was told she was fine in the womb, and her weight is proof of that. If she is growing well and my placenta is still functioning properly why not let me go naturally. Why risk stressing her with synthetic forms of labor? Why put me at a higher risk of a c section? It all makes no sense to me and I am unable to do anything about it. I am forcing myself to be ok with what is going to happen...It's not working out so well.  

Nothing like a disappointing midwife appointment to remind us that our daughter is a heart child- ya know just in case it would slip my mind!👌🏻
