I really hope that Thorfinn and Faxi met again at some point, that is, if Faxi made it to adulthood.
Because they were both sort of the “outcasts” they were always the ones who died first in their pretend games, and so, they talked and they went other places together.
Also, when Thorfinn changed and became more aggressive, Faxi was really sad and didn’t want to play at all.
Because they were so often together like that I really can imagine that Faxi would be one of the few villagers who can actually remember him, just like Faxi’s name was seemingly the one name adult Thorfinn could think of when he was asked to prove that he really was from the village.
But another reason i also hope that they reunited is because of the things Thorfinn would probably have to deal with during that reunion. If Faxi is still alive he’s about as old as Thorfinn is, probably married, with kids, and a good profession in the village, and I think seeing his childhood friend like that would really make him see what he could’ve had if he hadn’t stayed away. :,)
