With regards to my anon I have to be honest and somewhat ashamed that it never once occurred what the title being stripped from Lucifer would do to him. I was more upset what it did to me lol. Of course it would send him down this path of identity crisis. A total "duh" moment for me, thanks for the head shake. As a side note, in my head canon the necklace reacted the way it did because it was what actually carried the " key " to earth, aka Chloe and I'm sticking to that !
Do not feel that way. What I love about Lucifer is that somehow you can go back to a previous episode or season and connect everythig so well. Everything makes sense so far and I hope the loose ends to find their way to a good wrap when their time comes.
Now on your sidenote. I actually have a similar headcanon. In that headcanon, Amenadiel was able to get Chloe to Earth (If that makes sense) because he had been entrusted that necklace. Also we don’t know if that necklace was actually something Dad gave to Amenadiel after the Fall and whether at one point it belonged to Samael in a different form.
Perhaps I overthink things a bit too much but I would absolutely adore the writers if that was the case as for me, the necklace, the ring and Chloe are all connected.
