B: *I can`t believe he bought that... lucky*

Sorry for the late reply! This got hard towards the end as while the first 3 came to mind so easily, there’s so many that came close to filling my final few. 

1. Buffy/Faith. They’re my two favourite Buffyverse characters and I just think their dynamic is fascinating. There’s so many layers to it. And it’s so easy to read so much more into it than what we explicitly got in the canon. Part of me wishes we got more screen time (and even comic time) between them because I think it really enriched the show, but another part of me enjoys that it’s a dynamic where because it was under-utilised there’s a lot left for the audience to interpret. It’s a dynamic that I could talk about for hours

2. Buffy/Dawn. I don’t think I can express how much I just adore Buffy Summers, so I really just love relationships that really add to her characterisation. Dawn being both Buffy’s sister, but also being made literally from Buffy creates a bond between them that Buffy doesn’t have with anyone else. They’re sisters in all the best and worst ways and their connection just feels so very real. This relationship just hits so many beautiful beats throughout the series. It’s enough for me to choose to ignore Empty Places. Well almost.

3. Tara/Summers sisters. Am I cheating? Yes I am. But, I wanted to mention both because I think they’re equally lovely. So much about who Tara is can be summed up by her relationships with Buffy and Dawn. She shows them so much kindness without expecting anything in return and it’s kindness they both desperately need and deserve. I wish Tara hadn’t died for so many reasons and one of the biggest is that I so wanted more of her relationships with Dawn and Buffy. Also  I don’t ship Tara/Buffy in a longterm capacity, but I do think they could have been really good for each other for a time

4. Willow/Tara. When they’re good they’re the best canon romance in the show IMO. They just really love each other and compliment each other so wonderfully. I’m usually a sucker for an angst-y love story, but watching these two fall for each other in s4 melts me every time. I have complicated feelings about this romance in terms of where their story goes post s5 though as I know most people do, but I do believe they were soulmates. 

5. Buffy/Willow. I started loving this friendship when Buffy immediately decided to befriend Willow as soon as she met her. These two go through a lot and sometimes they’re both bad friends, but the way they raise each other up and have each others backs (most of the time) really is one of the best parts of the series for me. Plus there is a part of me that thinks they both definitely had unacknowledged crushes on each other in the early seasons.
