@spookside Oooooh, I'm only up to Season 4 but there's already been sooooo many good episodes so far XD In no particular order, I guess these are some of my favourites atm:

- Fascination (S3, ep10)

- Our Man Bashir (S4, ep10)

- If Wishes Were Horses (S1, ep16)

- Through the Looking Glass (S3, ep19)

- Whispers (S2, ep14)

Okay, first up is Bonfire Heart, my hospital AU with Greg as a cardiac surgeon, and both Sherlock and Mycroft as his patients. I really do like how this one turned out. It's an enemies to friends to lovers, and sparked a series, People Like Us (yes, the lyrics are obviously from Bonfire Heart). I'm not medically trained, but I'm told the accuracy isn't bad.

Second, Knight at the Museum, where Mycroft is a museum director, and Greg is a former policeman turned teacher. There's a budding romance between our boys, a plan to steal a precious museum artefact, and plenty (I hope) of twists in the plot. Greg has a rather tragic backstory in this one, so there's a lot of hurt/comfort in it. I was proud of keeping a handle on the plot in this one.

Winter's Tale is my third, although this one seems to be one of those with the most kudos. It came out as another hurt/comfort and Mycroft rescuing a somewhat sick DI at Christmas time. It's also bittersweet for me, because it was gifted to my best friend, who loved it, but who didn't live to read the last chapter.

Although it's not finished, I haven't abandoned A Far Flung Corner of the Empire, my Roman AU. It's a favourite, but it's given me a hard time of recent date. I will be getting back to this one. Hopefully soon.

Finally, I choose A Mystrade Summer Night's Dream, my 80s Mystrade AU, almost but not quite teen Mystrade, given that they're both at the start of their careers. Mr Graves is only a year younger than I am, and we're both products of Thatcherite Britain. I remember growing up in that precarious time, going to uni and spreading my wings. This has a little Yes, Minister cross over, for those Brits who remember this comedy. In my AU, Mycroft works for Sir Humphrey.

So, those are my favourites. Although I actually like more of what I write these days. It's often hard to like your own work, especially if you're a creative person (we are usually our own worst critics, after all), but I genuinely like my five above, but I've got to give honourable mention to the following, in no particular order:

Burning Rubber (the one where Greg is a pro driver and trains Mycroft)

Spark to a Flame (the one where Greg is a fireman, and there's a kitten)

Evening Out The Odds (the one where Greg and Mycroft are in York for the Festive Season)

The Need for Transparency (the one where Greg is psychic and Mycroft is his spirit guide)

And last, but not least Winterlight, which spawned nice pics of Greg in a kilt.

barry on hbo - this show is so good. it goes from serious to funny so fast it gives you whiplash, and bill hader is amazing. plus the episodes are 30 minutes each and apparently that’s a thing i appreciate now. 

control - the combat feels so nice, and the SCP-ness (lol penis) of it all is fun. 

ben and jerry’s half baked - enough said. 

mail - i ordered a bunch of shit online and it all showed up on the same day. i love it when that happens, it feels like christmas or something. 

When Tangled first came out in theaters, I took the whole family to go out and see it and we loved it. Imagine my surprise when I found out that my favorite Disney Princess movie was getting a TV show! It’s just like back in the day when I was a kid. We had The Little Mermaid the series, Timon and Pumbaa the series, and my personal favorite, Aladdin the series. Why did it take so long? I think you underestimate how long it takes to make a cartoon, and make it well. With the original movie voice cast, I had to set my DVR to record every episode. Here are my favorites (so far):

5. Rapunzel’s Enemy

This episode is basically what I expected the show to be. Rapunzel is nice and all but being raised in a tower, she doesn’t know much about social situations. At a public event, Rapunzel gets booed. She doesn’t get it until it’s explained to her that it means someone doesn’t like her. Rapunzel has never been put in this situation before so she has no idea how to handle it. And to make matters worse, the guy who booed her is the one guy everybody likes. I’m serious. They love the guy.

I say this episode is what I expected because, I believe, the point of the show is to have Rapunzel grow as a person and learn how to fully live her new life. She has to learn how to properly interact with other people in very different situations. This is one of them. The set up is done well. The twist adds more drama. The B-plot with Cassandra and Eugene is hilarious. My only major problem is with the character who booed Rapunzel, “Uncle” Monty. He’s not poorly written or anything like that. I just think his voice and design are too cartoony. I know that sounds weird but let me put it this way: if you saw/heard him in the original movie, he would be so out of place. Still good though, and a true lesson for everyone.

4. Return of Strongbow

Rapunzel’s past is unfortunately pretty cut and dry. Eugene however has lived an interesting life. His old pal, Lance Strongbow, shows up and tries to reconnect with the man who has been the closest thing to family. They talk and share stories. They catch up and Eugene introduces him to Rapunzel. Lance believes maybe someday he’ll also find the greatest treasure in life: Love.

I’m just kidding. He needs his help to pull off a thieving job.

We do get to learn about Eugene’s life before he met Rapunzel, and how much he really has changed since then. Sure, he’s still a wise ass, but he resolve to become a better person and his love for Rapunzel are big parts of what make him today. Lance is a fun character and let me tell you that guy is smooth. An A+ liar. The episode goes from super fun to super serious when they have to cover up their cover up however. That just makes the ending more heartfelt.

Eugene Line of the Episode: “I heard your psst!”

3. One Angry Princess

Courtroom dramas are fun. No, wait, let me try that again. One of the things I love about this show is the genuine friendship Rapunzel has with the pub thugs of the Snuggly Duckling. They enjoy her company and she enjoys their’s. This time it’s not about her, sorta. Attila, the pub thug whose cupcakes are sublime, opens his own bakery to very little fanfare. While his baking is fantastic, everyone’s to afraid of him to try his goods. The fact that his bakery is right across the street from Monty’s sweet shop doesn’t help. The next day, Monty’s sweet shop has been ransacked and everyone thinks Attila did it. Rapunzel decides to prove her friend’s innocence.

This episode plays out the way you think it would. It looks like Attila did it, throw in a few red herrings and a resolution that would never work in any real court of law.  We know it’s all in good fun. The strength of the episode comes from Rapunzel’s conviction. After being lonely for so long, every relationship she has is precious to her. The lengths she would go for her friends is admirable, to say the least. Attila being voiced by Steve Blum didn’t hurt either.

Eugene Line of the Episode: “Hey Cassandra, uh, let’s go see if we can find someone to remove that foot from your mouth, shall we?”

2. Fitzherbert P.I.

Rapunzel is now a princess. Eugene, an former thief, is now a...uh. He does stuff and things. Okay, so he doesn’t really have much to do now that he lives in the castle with Rapunzel. All his needs are met. He renounces his thieving ways which leaves him free to...do other things. Eugene decides to get a job with his new found free time, but after helping the guards catch a thief, he decides to be a palace guard. Too bad the Captain still hates him. 

Eugene is immensely entertaining. I could listen to him talk for hours and it’d still be funny. His quips and one-liners always get me. The episode has several parts to it with the B-plot fitting in surprisingly well in the end. All the jokes land, and we still get both a funny and a heartwarming ending. All good in Corona.

1. Big Brothers of Corona

Basically everyone’s favorite episode. Eugene and Lance are at it again. This time Eugene is trying to get Lance a job at the castle, but the only way to do it is to catch, “The Silent Striker.” When the Striker turns out to be two little girls, Eugene has to find a way to turn them away from a life of crime. 

This episode is as adorable as it sounds. Thank you for asking. Eugene is entertaining as usual, and the Strikers are adorable. This episode was giving everyone dad!Eugene feels. The unseen antagonist from Return of Strongbow plays a big part of this episode. He’s being built up as a serious enemy for Eugene. My only problem is the B-plot. We’ve seen it before. A lot. Rapunzel wants to help Cassandra. Cassandra says back off. Rapunzel does not. Cassandra gets mad. Rapunzel gets mad. At least it was done better this time.

Eugene Line of the Episode: “Making people chase you five miles makes them cranky!”

These are so hard for me! lol But here I go, 

The Pitfall : After the war, Hermione thinks she has her life back on track. She can finally finish her schooling and be with the love of her life. Little does she know that fate has something else in store.Draco has spent the summer mulling over every action he has taken that has led his life to this point. What he finds is disgust and guilt that he just can't seem to shake; until he finds solace in the one person he never thought would listen.Bonds are tested, friendships are forged, love is found, and all the while a dark threat arises from the shadows to take on the task the Dark Lord has left. (This fic is my first Dramione and I just love it)

Defected : Sometimes there is one defining moment in a person's life that changes everything.Draco Malfoy had wanted to defect long before that fateful night in Malfoy Manor when he'd chosen to save the mudblood girl he'd been raised to despise and help the Golden Trio escape from his family's clutches. He just hadn't had the opportunity until then to do so.Hermione Granger didn't care when or why he'd decided to jump ship, she was just grateful that he had, she would probably have one less scar because of him. (This one is my dark fic and I really like writing for this one)

The Unraveling (Sequel to The Pitfall) :  While training to become an Auror, Draco faces more than just old rivalries and newfound duties. He knows Darkness is coming from more than one side, preparing to unravel everything he's worked so hard for but he will stop at nothing to stand in its way. Self-appointed double agent wasn't exactly on his list of future prospects, but he'll do whatever it takes to protect the one's he loves. (Auror Draco? Drarry bromance? Beautiful Dramione feels? What’s not to love?)

Lessons in Lycanthropy : The blame, Draco would later muse, fell on Theo’s shoulders. If it hadn’t been for his insistence that they sneak out and throw what the muggles called a “kegger”, none of them would have been in the forest that fateful night.But Theo had insisted and that was why he now had the urge to howl at the moon. (Werewolf Draco. That is all that needs to be said)
