When your child is a man 20+ years older than yourself

I used to be ashamed as a fangirl when I was a teen. I kept all of my interests to myself since I'm terrified of being bullied and judged by my peers. I remember I grew up watching anime, I used to be outspoken about how much I loved it. I would often go home early when I was in elementary and walk home quickly so I can't miss Yamato Nadeshiko or any random episode of Detective Conan that airs on TV. In highschool, I loved to watch YouTubers like PewDiePie and that cake lady (I forgot the name) and at night I would read Wattpad or any insert-readers stories until sunrise. My classmates would often call me names like 'the girl who's always reading on her phone' or 'that girl with weird hobbies'. my parents criticized me for buying books because they thought "it doesn't help me in any way." I listened to kpop wearing headphones because I'm afraid they'll call me new names again. But despite everything, I was happy in silence. I was happy to create media and consume media I found interesting. I kept everything to myself, including the drawings, short stories, and movie reviews. I kept my love of cosplay a secret from my parents for fear that they would criticize me for spending my allowance on "useless" items. I kept it away from them.

That Moment when almost everybody here is talking about finally being able to listen to reputation on midnight, but you can barely afford one copy (I've been saving for a while, cuz life is exhaustingly expensive), so you can't buy it on itunes as well.
