To be frank, I was looking forward to both Louis’ and Harry’s solo careers, I considered myself a Larrie until 2019, and Harry was my fav in 2017 (for all those accusing me of every -ism under the sun, Harry had the same team in 2017).
But @dearly, @adifferentkindofson, @waitingforthatday and others who expressed any misgivings about solo Harry were viciously attacked.
I’m so glad that @dearly has those screenshots, and I must say they bring back some vividly shocking memories.
Big Larrie blogs were invested in their version of the future. As a mutual said,

They knew what was happening to Louis, how big Holo was going to be, and there would be no Larry happy ending. It’s like when @b* argued that Louis didn’t really want to release an album (multiple posts in 2017-18). Larries still make this asinine argument that Louis doesn’t want commercial success or actually any success.

Most of the perpetrators of c*ntgate either went Harrie, suddenly stepped back from fandom cause... too busy, no longer fun or just deleted all together and if that doesn't tell you who was shilling for Sony/HSHQ I don't know what does. I remember it well,the attacks on anyone who questioned the roll out, the disparity or just expressed disappointment in the product that is solo H were bullied including accusing lgbtqa+ people of homophobia getting a lot of young people to fearfully fall in line

You're an idiot. Louis has said he's straight, there's no fucking stunts. Did you miss Ed Sheeran's interview where he gushes about his girlfriend and talks about having kids and all that? How is that different from Louis or Harry talking about the women in their lives? Do you think you can erase their lives just because you want to live in a fantasy world where they're together? Louis and Harry like women, there's nothing wrong with that.
Wow are you 5 year old to insult me like that because you don’t like my point of view ? If you don’t see any stunt, I don’t know what to tell you. For me the question is not whether Elounor and Hamille are stunts; the question is more whether Larry is a stunt, because it is clear that they work to provide on-going Larry hints, even though Louis spent Christmas and NYE with Eleanor and not Harry.
I think what bothers me the most about HSHQ being open about how they combed through fandom for Eroda is: then we know 100% that they are aware of how vicious, toxic, competitive and derogatory his fandom is. They know. But they just lean into the TPWK schtick without any substance, probably while laughing. That, more than anything, stings.
The fact that “plants” can be placed into fandom to make the Harrie stan culture slightly less toxic, to lessen bullying of other fans and other boys even a tiny bit, and yet here’s another TPTK sweatshirt to purchase in a different color, but keep up with the good work, guys! Bury those m*f*.
Creepy spying and manipulation are par for the course, and we expect it, but the effort to use other fans to destroy Harry’s competition— at the expense of exacerbating those fans’ mental health issues (while Harry tweets, “Go see your therapist, I’ll wait.”) is the height of hypocrisy. Harry knows. He condones. He is the artist, he profits from it, he is responsible. Maybe he was naive, but the article clearly states that Harry is aware of details of the project and has ample input. He knows how this works.
